Incredibly rude owner. Extremely Unprofessional. She allowed neglect (working on 3 ppl at once) wanted me to be the 4th! Distasteful attitude, spit sour looks. I would never trust her with my hair.\r \r Detail below: \r It's one thing that the owner did not abide by her appointments, but she decided to greet me with a sour attitude and spit haughty looks while making excused for having over-booked herself to make an extra dime.\r This appointment was for an extended family reception and was tremendously important.\r \r She held an arrogantly superior attitude from the moment I arrived for my appointment, neglecting completely that I had been courteous enough to specifically adjust my appointment well in advance to a time I knew I would make.\r \r Instead of abiding by her schedule, or apologizing for her mistake, she set out to blame the entire situation on me claiming that she had called me earlier in an attempt to force me to come at an earlier time to allow her to fit more clients. More clients indeed. She was working on three customers at once and condemning each of them to her ill-manner and neglect.\r \r I received no phone call- and should I have missed one it was made absolutely clear that this time was my only availability for the day. How would you reasonably me expect me to be available for your demanding phone call? - Let alone adhere to your request after having been treated with such uncivilized manner?\r \r I am thankful for having not done business with her and I am sure that those who read this will be grateful for the accurate review. I do hope that this post is put to use and that this owner learns to respect new customers from the moment they request her service. more

I've been a loyal client of the owner and my stylist for at least 6 years and gladly followed her to the opening of her new salon in Elgin. The salon is clean, the atmosphere is good, the services are varied, reasonable and always Aveda (calming, refreshing and natural) and each visit is generally a good one. I refer friends and family all the time, give it a try! more

I LOVE this salon and spa. The staff with professional and friendly. The environment made me feel like I was at an upscale salon downtown - very ritzy feel without the exorbitant prices. I have found my new favorite! more

I went to this spa and used my spa finder certificate. I had always wanted to try it since I lived in the area. I've hear they did great hair and assumed it was similar for nails. I got a no chip manicure and it was a disaster! The polish peeled, bubbled and split, ruining my nails. I went back for them to fix it and the same thing happened. Some of the polish peeled off but some I couldn't remove. It was necessary to soak my nails in acetone for over an hour and scrap it off before my several important business meetings. I spoke with the owner who offered a credit for me to get another service. I went back a month and a half later since I informed her I would be traveling extensively on business. The OWNER WOULD NOT honor her previous promise of a credit and would only allow me to get a no chip (which I wasn't going to chance) or a regular manicure as a trade, although the regular manicure is only $18 and the no chip $30. She refused to credit me the $30 toward two manicures or a manicure/pedicure. Ultimately she wasn't interested in making the situation right or correct their error. more

Everyone was very friendly. I received many compliments on my new hair cut. The salon is beautiful and you must check out the massage room which is in a bank vault. more
