Salon Blu

I just moved here from Santa Barbara and have been going to the same lady for five years and was very worried to switch stylist, I went in for a haircut with James the owner of Salon Blu, He gave me the BEST and most thorough haircut I have ever had! the service was very friendly and relaxed. The staff and his assistant were so nice and took time out to talk, get to know me and my hair. James listened and made sure he did exactly what I wanted but also threw in his own expertise. this salon was so inviting, not pretentious like some high end salons. I absolutely love it, I am never going anywhere else. My hair has never felt so great and my cut is amazing! I already made my next appointment and cant wait to see how my color turns out. let me add, I also have curly hair and it is thick! he managed to cut it perfectly and his assistant even took the time to show me a new technique on how to dry my curls, with no charge and didn't make me feel like i was wasting her time even with a salon full of people! these people love their jobs and make you feel like your part of the family the minute you walk in. Pros: wonderful cut and service Cons: a wee bit pricey but worth every penny more

I had a special event coming up and my hair needed serious help. I saw this girl at the mall who had this amazingly hot haircut and perfect color..I went right up to her and asked who did it and she said James at Salon Blu is the only person she trusts with her hair. So I made the appointment without asking the price, It's the most I've ever spent but had absolutely no regrets. James is a truly talented artist and obviously cares about his clients and does a really great job. To me it's worth a few more bucks to get a really great job done. The ambience was relaxed and funky. They had a very professional greeter who offered me a choice of about twenty different exotic teas and btw the shampoo girl has amazing hands !!! I tipped her more than I've paid for cuts at times :-) I already made my next appointment with James and I can't wait to go back! Pros: James gives a great cut and color. Cons: a little pricey but worth it. more

Bebe is a true artist!! After reading all of the reviews I decided to go for it. I walked in at my appointed time and met Bebe. I told her I hadn't had a haircut in forever since I just moved here. She listened to me tell her I was fearless and wanted something a 43 year old career gal that was slightly rocker chick/goth chick could work!! She went to work and let me tell you she can rock out some awesome hair! She looks at hair like a canvas and the end result is a great picture. She took years off my face and really wants to do what works well for you. She asks along the way how she is doing and has a great time doing it. I highly recommend this salon, it's fun, funky, fresh, a little edgy and a total treasure. If you want Bebe to transform your look and give you a kick a@@ look she is the go to gal. I already have my appointment to get my color done and I can't wait to see what she creates. Get your hair done right here. worth the trip anywhere else for a cut. Understand this was once a decent salon nowdefinitly seems like a place where unhappy employees cut hair for unhappy customers all I heard any of the stylists talk about was how they wanted to get out. Not what you want to hear when you are in for a cut. more
