Salon Bella Mia

i am originally from d.c. and have to say, that finding this salon was a miracle. there is a very big difference from hair styles in pittsburgh and hair styles in d.c. when i moved here i felt like i stepped into the 80's and went to a few bigger, well known salons in the area only to walk out looking like my highschool year book photo! then i was referred to salon bella mia and a handsome hair stylist named robert! what can i say, he is from los angeles and made me feel and look like i was too! he took my mousy brown hair to golden blonde and change the dreaded 80's style i got down the street to a modern, hip "a" symetrical. i have had people actually stop me on the street and ask for my salon. not only is robert amazing, but the salon is beautiful as is all the people that work there! one thing i have learned is when it comes to hair, bigger is not better (unless you live in texas!) and salon bella mia proves that. if you don't want to look like an 80's soccer mom, this is the salon for you and robert... well, one time is all it takes- you will never go anywhere else! more

I reviewed salons on the web and found all of the comments of Salon Bella Mia very positive and enviting. I have been there for hair cut, color and brow waxing three times and have found the service to far exceed the already current comments.... I felt that I had to add my own. The stylists go above and beyond to make the client satisfied and enthusiastically make a woman beautiful! I have a short hair style and go every four weeks for a cut and absolutely LOVE my new style and color. I definitely recommend their serivce. more

I walk by this salon so I decided to research it on the web and liked the reviews. Im new to the city so I have tried two other places and was most happy here. Melisa did my hair cut and color and I really likes what she did. It was $100 but Im happy so I will go back here. more

Went to this salon on a referral of a co-worker at the hospital and I was very pleased with my results. I had my hair colored and cut and a pedicure and brow wax. Prices are comparable to other salons in that area but I think it was worth it. It was a nice experience and I will be making another appointment there. more

I am just writing this review to let people know they should try this salon. I have been very happy with the results every time I have went there. I get my hair colored and cut and so do two other nurses I work with at Shadyside hospital and we all feel very comfortable in this salon and love the reults everytime we have had our hair done.. prices are comparable to other Shadyside salons and they all seem to be equally talented. I have had pedicures that were amazing also so give it a try, take our word for it, you will be happy! more

I started going to this new salon in Bloomfield, Salon Bella Mia. I used to go to Dean of Shadyside and had several people there do my hair and always liked the results. I continued to go there after obviously the talented ones left because the two visits I went to with my "Free Haircuts" coupons were the worst experience ever.. I dont recommend Deans any longer, I would recommend the girls at Salon Bella Mia, very talented, beautiful salon, nice decor and very welcoming. more

I've been going to Sharon for years and I've never been unsatisfied. I get my hair cut about every 8-10 weeks; even so, people are complimenting my cut constantly. That's a sign of a great stylist! She always give you the cut the you ask for and is sincere about how a cut/color might look on a client. Call for your appointment 7-10 days in advance for optimal schedule openings. more

This salon was started when a group of women left another local salon to start their own. My stylist is Chelsea, and she is amazing! She does a great job, and she is a lot of fun to talk with. The salon is tastefully decorated and feels very warm and welcoming. In addition to working with hair, the salon also offers waxing and nail services. For the quality and experience that they offer, their prices are reasonable. more
