I have been looking for a good stylist in the area since I moved down from northern california, and I think I've finally met my match! Regina at Salon Bamboo is AWESOME! It is a great experience from start to finish. Personable, professional, stylish, and funny! I'm sold! The Salon was a bit hard to find... It's right in between the Brew House and the Neighborhood, across from the car wash. I go down, get my haircut, wash the car and grab a beer and a burger all in the same trip! I have been looking for a stylist in SB for a while now, and then resorted to going back home because I was not having any luck. Then my friend told me about Regina at Salon Bamboo. She actually talked with me and really understood what I was looking for before she started my hair. The finished product was exactly what I wanted! i had such an AMAZING time at salon bamboo with Victoria, one of their hair stylists. I have never had a hair stylist be so attentive to my needs. she fit my personality to my hair and suggested incredible improvements. i LOVE the four-color highlight combo she gave me and i CANT WAIT to see her again! she's authentic, caring, and so fun to talk to. Victoria is the hairstylist of my dreams! I am so happy with how she cuts and styles my hair. I made the mistake of trusting someone in the past who cut off all my hair. I have been growing out my hair ever since. Victoria has walked me through all the stages of growing my hair out again... creating a new style at each stage of the process. I found Victoria by reading the different reviews by other client and had to make and appointment myself. I've been in Santa Barbara for about a year now and have been looking for a stylist who can cut and color. Honestly, I never believe I could find one person to do both. Until now.....Victoria did my blond highlights and cut my long curly hair to perfection. She's actually the first person to ever take the time to talk with me and listen to what I wanted, made suggestions and didn't cut off more than we agreed with. I love it and that's not normal for me to say. Usually I hate the color and I'm never happy with the way the stylist cut my hair but today when I left I was as happy as I've even been with my new hair. I've finally found a hair stylist that knows what will look the best on me! Other stylists in town just have their way with you, or do what you tell them to do without any ideas of their own. Victoria takes the time to see what color will make your skin look great and what hair cut will most flatter you face and suit your style. My friends and family tell me my hair looks the best its ever looked! And when my former hair stylist saw me (always a bit awkward when you've left a stylist you've been going to for awhile), she was so impressed that she asked for Victoria's name and number so that she can get her hair cut there too! It took 1 1/2 years of searching to find an excellent salon - Salon Bamboo. After moving to this area from LA, we visited four salons, all of which were bitter disappointments. One produced a $70 lopsided haircut; two gave us embarrassing ""SuperCut"" hairstyles; and one, after an hour delay, provided us with uncomplimentary highlights. \r But that all changed with the discovery of Salon Bamboo. Victoria, a superb stylist, at Salon Bamboo, has repeatedly demonstrated expert flair for cutting-edge cuts that last for weeks, and striking highlights.
