The atmosphere at the saloon is beautiful and they always decorate for the holidays, along with great scenery you receive great service, all the girls and (max) are friendly. helpful and skilled in their profession. I first went to Salon 3778 about eight years ago, but had a different stylist. Recently served on jury duty and decided to see if the salon was still there and ended up getting a great haircut. My experience there has been a great one, Max always has a great attitude as well as all the staff there. They make you feel like fam. I would recommend this salon to anyone, Max knows what his customers need and wants and he listens to them. I got to meet his great dog NEMO, he made quite an impression on me, he is sooooo cute. He supervised Max while he cut my hair, I loved that. Keep up the good work Nemo!!! Pros: Very close to my home, less than 10 minutes. Cons: Parking, but still within walking distance more

I've been going to Max for years! This man is awesome when it comes to color AND cuts! I ALWAYS get compliments on my hair. Even after I moved to Santa Barbara I STILL drive 3 1/2 hrs to get my hair done! With the ocean air and other elements, this man always knows how to get my hair back on track and looking its best! I've tried going to places locally and ALWAYS end up near tears when I leave, never again! It's Salon 3778 or nothing. Pros: Service, Color, Cuts Cons: none! more

Monet has been doing my hair for years! I wouldn't go to anyone else. She is great for all styles. I have long think hair. And no matter what color, cut or style I want she can do it. I have had perms, highlights, lowlights, layers, full cuts and styles. My mom goes to her, my husband, daughter and friends. The salon itself is great. So stylish, friendly people, cool location and easy to park. I wanted to take the time and write this up for her because she has always done my hair and makeup great!! I have been going to a salon close to my house in Orange County but when I heard rave reviews (from typically picky people) about Max, I had to check it out. It was the best decision I ever made! Max is just incredible-- he keeps in mind what you want and what will work for you and tells you how to make it happen. He made me feel like I've known him for years the first time I entered the building! The atmosphere is comfortable, the prices are reasonable and Max is amazing! It's well worth the extra drive! The atmosphere at Salon 3778 is very welcoming thanks to the people who work there, especially Max. Max greeted me with a big hug as if i had known him all my life! He is a wonderful person who really does care about the concerns and desires of his clients. I could never get anyone to cut my hair the way I want due to the horrible double cowlick at the nape of my neck. Max was great, he assesed my situation, proceeded to cut my hair little by little and gave me a mirror to watch so that i would feel comfortable. I have been getting my hair done by Max for 14 years and I have that thick Hispanic hair, and Max knows exactly what NOT to do to it. I wanted a short hair cut, and instead of just chopping it and letting me regret it he told me exactly what would happen and how much time I was going to have to put into it. He tell me what new styles are in for me and what colors are in. Max is the type of person that even if it is your first time, he treats you like he's known you forever. He is a great person, and loves what he does. Always keeping himself updated on ""What's new"" If I need to get in at the last minute he will squeeze me in. My experience at Salon 3778 was awesome! It was the first time that I felt comfortable getting my hair done. Everyone was very happy, helpful and had good suggestions. Brenda, the hair dresser made sure I was happy with her work and she really listened to what I wanted. I could tell that they really love what they do and that makes for a more comfortable atmosphere. I would highly recommend Salon 3778 and Brenda to everyone! Alex was doing my hair for the past couple years, until I recently moved to the Portland. I haven't been back to SoCal. in 9-10 months and I am so excited because I am coming for a visit next month and have plans to get my hair done while I'm down there. In the months I have been up here I have yet to find a stylist that does my hair as great as Alex did. Alex really knows what he was doing, he always knew what would look best on my face shape and what worked well with my hair. Before going to Natalie I had the worst experience with hairdresser's. I never walked out with the right cut and the color never looked like it was intended to. I went to get my hair done by Natalie for my prom and it looks amazing!!! She has been doing my hair now for about a year and I won't go anywhere else. She is very polite and courteous and very attentive to my requests. I would highly recommend her to do anyones hair. Natalie does a great job with color, cuts and styles. She's amazing... more

I've been going to Max for 20 years. Max always makes me feel fierce when I leave his salon!! He knows just the right color to go with my skin tone and always cuts my hair perfectly. In the 20 years I've seen Max, if there's ever a issue (rarely a problem) I am always welcome to come back in to discuss where I think he went wrong and together we solve it. The atmosphere at the salon is comfortable yet professional. I hope he never closes shop, I honestly wouldn't know where to go. If you want your hair done by someone who absolutly loves what they do, Max is your man. Friendly, caring, experienced and professional, I would recommend Salon 3778 to any and everyone. I found this salon on citysearch and decided to book an appointment with Max. As soon as I walked in, I loved the decor, upscale, yet relaxed at the same time. Let me tell you, Max knows what he's doing! He was very professional, and very friendly. He gave me a quick consultation based on the contour of my face, and highlights as well. He did an AMAZING job, my cut looks great, and my blonde highlights look natural and beautiful!. i got my hair cut by..i think her name's natalie..i specifically asked for someone who can layer and texturize thick thick asian hair. i got her. i went in describing what i want and with pictures. she didn't even take a look at my hair before rushing to wash it. i came out of the salon with chunked crappy layers.it looked like my kid sister took scissors to my hair and chopped it. bad hair cut i was so sad and everyone said my hair was badly layered. you know you had a bad hair cut when your friends all start to offer recutting it. thats just sad to know that average non haircutting people think they can do better. Pros: friendly people, cute dogs in the salon. Cons: expensive for ugly layers, no change so i over tipped, stylist cannot cut hair!!!! more

alex is the best stylist! he is very professional, and knows his stuff. i read all the other reviews here on city search which made me decide to pick salon 3778, and go with alex. this salon is in the best location. its trendy. upbeat and fun. all that aside, alex is by far the best of the best. i feel as though i found a diamond in the rough. i work in riverside so this was very convenient! i got a fantastic hair cut and i love my color. its been 3 weeks and still looks fabulous. i was undecided with a type of style for my face shape, and alex suggested something that would look perfect, and it does! i love it. i would reccommend him to any and everyone!! i am so glad i made that apt. with him. i love alex! i will never go anywhere else! A friend of mine reccommend that I look for a new stylist because the one I've had for 6 years, has been flaking on me. I looked here on citysearch for the top rated salon in Riverside. I recently moved from the Valley, I am use to upscale salons. I saw that SALON 3778 was the most highly reccommended. I saw that Alex had rave reviews, so I called the salon to make an appointment. The gal who answered the phone was very friendly and personable. She left Alex my number and he called me back within the hour! I am not use to the attentiveness I received! Alex was very cool, calm and collected on the phone. I told him what I wanted and we discussed possible appointment times. He makes his own hours so it was very advantageous! I went to my appointment with Alex, and I couldnt be any happier! I was greeted by everyone in the salon including the owner! They were quick to make me comfortable! I love the ambiance of the salon. It has a cozy feel about it, but very upscale. Everyone, especially Alex, was down to earth and easy going. That was a definite plus! No one likes a stressed out hairdresser! Alex gave me exactly what I wanted! I am receiveing compliments left and right! I booked my next appointment! I love what Alex has done for my mom, sister and I!! He is eactly what a hairdresser should be! 1. HE Know's his stuff 2. he is a haircolor expert! and highlights expert! 3. his hair cutting techniques are like the famous hairdressers you see on t.v! except you don't have to pay an arm and a leg. You definetly get what you pay for. My family loves his work! We would never consider getting our hair done by anyone else except for ALEX! He is also very accomidating. He is flexible with his hours and always goes above and beyond our expectations. I have reccommended Alex to a lot of people! He even does men's cuts! The salon he works at is Salon 3778.
