It has been our pleasure to work with Sally over the years! I can not say enough good things about her knowledge and grasp of each individual job that she tackles. We have even used her to help design a beautiful perennial garden at our last house! I love the way she works with your budget and knows the quality of each appliance and if it will work in the space available.When we recently moved to our new home she helped us get the whole house ready for moving in with colors,new moldings,etc. and helped us work with the flooring people to choose a color of stain and the proper technique to achieve the richest look.They are beautiful! Sally is the first person I think of when I contemplate any change in our home. She has the integrity of the property in the forefront of her designs. When we first met her we were planning on asking her opinion regarding the placement of an Aga stove. That evolved into a full kitchen renovation. We spend 90% of our time in the kitchen and it anchors the whole house. A few years later, she designed our English Garden and we plan to work with her on many projects to come. We have had the pleasure of working with Sally Ross in the design and construction of three kitchens. The first was for a 1910 Tudor with the original kitchen. Sally worked with us in transforming our old kitchen rooms into anew state-of-the-art space that was featured in New Jersey Monthly Magazine. The kitchen was designed with the functionality needed for our young family, as well as being appropriate and sensitive to the architectural elements of the house. When we sold our home to downsize we received seven bids all over the asking price which the realtors attributed to the kitchen. The second kitchen projected we asked Sally to take on was the home we downsized to in a ten year old development. It was difficult to move to this house with a builder's kitchen that looked like every other one in the neighborhood. Again Sally worked her magic! She made changes to the interior space that addressed and corrected everything we did not like about living in new construction. She created a great open space both for entertaining and eating. We sold that house in two days during the worst days of the recession with two offers over the asking price. Again realtor reaction was the buzz about the kitchen. When we retired and decided to move south it was time to design and entire house. Sally worked with our builder and cabinetmaker in creating a unique space for our ""low country cottage."" The floor plan is just what we needed for our new life. Everything is perfect with attention given to every detail. Sally's selection of moldings, window, doors, hardware and everything else sets us apart from others around us. An we have another perfect kitchen. Our builder was so impressed he wanted to hire Sally to come and down and work with him on special projects. Sally Ross Designs is a top notch firm and we highly recommend them to anyone who wants something unique, appropriate for the space and special. Wow, I?m really surprised by some of these comments about Sally Ross Design. Sally and I have been working together on my home and garden for a year now and, I think, it?s been the perfect collaboration between client and designer. Sally?s been a total pleasure to work with, she has wonderful, eclectic, yet practical tastes, and she?s completely knowledgeable about everything from bath fixtures, to flower seeds to where to buy an affordable, chic sofa. I?ve learned a lot from Sally and have found her to be consistently fair, right about every design decision (although she lets me take my time getting there sometimes) and as a bonus, she?s funny and fun to be with. I always look forward to our shopping trips and never feel pressured to do anything or buy anything I don?t like. We live in an empty old farm house in Westchester and she?s helped us find and combine everything from modern pieces to old flea market finds. She has a great sense of color and I feel like she?s helped me put together MY home, just a better version of it! Think you?d really be missing out if you don?t at least meet with her.
