The food was pretty tasty, though when my husband ordered his entree extra spicy, it was less than mild on the spicy scale. The portions are on the small side, so I'd advise ordering an appetizer or and extra dish to share. The restaurant is quite small, but very cozy. Pros: inexpensive, good food more

Excellent food, great prices 8/19/2005

Where else can you get an excellent, well-portioned dinner for $8.95 and appetizer for $1.50? Sakuntala has great food - one of the best Indian places I've ever eaten at (including New York and London restaurants!) and the value and quality can't be beat. The owners use a lot of locally-grown and self-raised ingredients and can season to almost any level of taste. The buffet is excellent as well. The dining room is simple but nice. Definitely get reservations on Saturday nights - this place fills up quickly. Pros: Food, Quality, Price Cons: Atmosphere more
