I had the extreme pleasure of meeting and dealing directly with Vicky. I was in town for a convention and had outgrown my camera backpack. With everything I had stuffed into it it was too heavy to haul though airports. Of the four Las Vegas camera stores I called looking for a rolling bag Sahara Camera was the most inviting. Vicky told me to get the best price, then to come see her to beat it, and she did, by $20! On top of that she actually gave me money off the new bag in exchange for my old bag. If that wasn't enough she gave some free accessories and greatly discounted others. On top of that she told me where to find the best locally made chocolates. She actually made spending money fun! Too bad I don't live here or I'd buy all my camera supplies from Sahara. more

Sahara camera has the worst customer service , they are beyond Rude and they don't take any actions for their mistakes . I took my Nikon D700 with the lens and batteries (complete) to them for Cleaning , they charged me $220.00 for cleaning , and when i picked it up 3 weeks later .... YES it took them 3 weeks , they gave me no lens and no batteries , when i asked the rude lady said , That's how you brought it ,,,,,OKAY , so they Stole my $300 Lens ( thank got i took my cheapest lens with me ) and they also stole my Batteries , ,,,,,, Of course you would never think to get a receipt for you camera attachments when you drop it off ,but if you ever make a mistake and end up being in this place you have to make sure that you do , otherwise they will take it away from you and tell you ****THAT'S HOW YOU BROUGHT IT ******* THIS PLACE IS SCAM AND I HAVE HEARD THEY ARE GOING UNDER SOON , MAYBE THAT'S WHY THEY DON'T CARE . OHHH did i forget to say that they didn't even do a good job cleaning my camera .... hope this was helpful. more

I walked in and said I needed a camera that was a step under a SLR and he took me to a GREAT camera right away, Didnt try and talk me into anything was very upfront and helpful. I was in and out in no time. AWESOME customer service! And I got a Thank you card in the mail!! How cool is that! So a friend of mine recommended this store to me and I'm recommending it to you!! It takes them 10 days to order basic lenses that would be expected by most to be in the store already. And could be recieved in 3 days from stores all the way on the east coast (i.e. B&H), at a lower price including shipping cost! Pros: store is located in Las Vegas Cons: Small inventory, Unprofessional & Unknowledgeable Staff, Long wait on ordering more

I recently purchased a medium format system (Pentax 645) and the staffer that assisted me was friendly, attentive when I needed him to be, and yet allowed me freedom to wander and just look... amazing! more
