Need a quick hot lunch, but don't want to break the bank paying downtown Ashland prices? Check out Safeway's deli for fresh, hot food at low prices. This is not fancy stuff, a lot of it is fried like the jo jo potatoes or the corn dogs, but it is tasty and they are fast. Grab a bite to eat and take it with you down to Lithia Park, where you can sit and watch the ducks swim in the pond or simply enjoy the fall foliage. Sit and remember why you love this town so much! more

Friendly Staff 3/16/2006

So our Safeway is not the biggest one and sometimes it is hard to figure out where they are hiding frozen chicken, but the people who work there go out of their way to be friendly to us and that makes a difference. They remodeled this location about a year ago, although there wasn't a whole lot they could do to make more space, it is now clean and pretty well kept up. The down side to the space issue is that they often do not have as good of a selection as the Medford locations, but then again the other locations are close enough that we can find pretty much anything we need. more
