People beware of this place!!! I brought my dog in for "doggie day care", minus the care.... I brought him back in the next morning as soon as they opened to see the vet, because ...

Glad I came here 9/23/2013

Toby came in after running on the beach in Galveston and had blisters and ulcers on his feet. Safari used the therapeutic laser on the feet and it gave him immediate relief. I cannot think of a more innovative therapy option and I am glad I went to Safari first. more

Great service 8/27/2013

We boarded our rat at Safari and were delighted to receive text pictures of his care while there. The Safari staff played with him and cared for him as if he was their own. more

Helpful staff 8/21/2013

My cat had been losing weight and having difficulty eating. My previous vet had given cortizone shots that helped but were not enough and he referred me to a specialist in the Galleria area. I heard Dr. Garner was a specialist and went to him. It was so refreshing to have a vet that was so informative and confident about how to treat and cure my Izzy. She has now had her surgery and is eating up a storm and has gained her first pound back. more

Above and beyond 8/9/2013

Kimber was treated with intensive care, oxygen and tireless attention. She had a fatal disease that no one could have saved her from but Caitlin at Safari and Dr. Garner gave all their heart toward her care. Caitlin took Kimber home and was up with her all night. After Kimber passed Dr. Garner built a fine wooden casket himself for the funeral we had that was attended by 75 people. Caitlin attended the ceremony. We are heartbroken about the loss of Kimber but know Safari went above and beyond in their care for her. more

Awesome clinic 7/1/2013

I want to say that this clinic is one of the most AWESOMEST clinics I have ever known. I brought in an injured turtle today that I found on the road and I have to say that the staff there are so wonderful. From the girl sitting at the desk, to the absolutely great technician that helped me to the most God sent doctor (Dr. Garner) that treated this turtle. Due to this being a turtle and not a pet of mine, I was concerned about how much treatment was going to be needed and the cost. He just swooped right in and took this turtle and tended to him. No questions asked. It is very VERY rare that you find someone that is willing to put his heart into something that would seem so trivial to anyone else. I mean, it is just a turtle. But he didn't see it that way more

Best wishes 6/24/2013

For almost thirty years Dr. Steve has been caring for our animals. A number of cats and dogs have been treated at Safari and we have always been pleased by the tender treatment provided everyone there as well as the clearly superior medical care from Dr. Steve. Our white German Shepherd (Buddy) had what surely would have been a fatal encounter with a Sago Palm seed. It was only through the outstanding treatment by everyone at Safari that he is alive and healthy today. I would simply like to say thanks for being there and sending best wishes for the new location. I know the old, clearly superior treatment will not change even though the surroundings have certainly improved. more

Went very well 6/19/2013

Today's visit with commander bongos went very well! Every day when I go for a visit I can see very small improvements but today it look like he took a good step forward. He leans on my leg to keep from falling over when he walks. But he is standing and walking now much better Then just a few days ago. A Special thanks to Dr. Garner and his complete crew there! They Are such pleasant and friendly people and make me feel so comfortable When I show up to visit bongos each day. more
