Best

Had a great meal for lunch. Everything we ordered was wonderful. This restaurant had the best service I have seen in a long time. The waiters and waitresses were on their toes ...

Worst

The place needs to expand. It's always overcrowded. The mechanic bull is good entertainment. They serve humongous drinks for about $12. Very well worth the money. You can...

Where the girls at?! 12/12/2003

I just celebrated my 21st bday @ the Saddle Ranch and much to my dismay the men appears much older than the much talked about ""frat crowd"" hype. This bar is a weenie roast! Lucky for us girls, but it doesn't hurt having some more girls there to party with either. It's so crowded, it's hard to move without being squished by sweaty guys! Pros: Hearty portions, Friendly bartenders Cons: Too crowded, Too many guys, Not enough girls! more

Great time @ the Ranch! 11/30/2003

It was our first time going to a bar in Hollywood and we had such a good time @ the Saddle Ranch. We saw a couple of Famous people, which was cool. The Bartenders are soooo cool, if you're friendly to them they'll show you a good time! The drinks are good and in expensive if you get the big jug! The food is really good, but go on an empty stomach, cause they serve huge portions! Try to get a table outside and you can watch all the people walking by on the Strip. Or lounge inside and watch crazy drunk people fall off the Bull! I will definately go back. Pros: Good Food, Good Drinks, Great location more

Hollywood Hoe-Down 11/19/2003

Been a few times, including a couple times for dinner. The food is terrific, portions are gigantic. Come with an appetite. The atmosphere is fun and trendy. Always receive great service! Pros: Atmosphere, Music, Food Cons: Desperate Singles more

FUN PLACE FOR A WEEKDAY 8/24/2003

Saddle Ranch is so fun! I don't think that I would hang out there on the weekend but during the week, it is the best. The service is great. The people that work there are so friendly and helpful. And it is a great place to meet people! Everyone there is pretty cool!! I defintely reccemmend it! Pros: Sevice, Atmosphere more

Ick 8/23/2003

This place is for those who have just turned 21. And I am only 26. Total meet market, too crowed, drinks are overpriced. Don't waste your time. Cabo Cantina is better for getting drunk, still has a lot of young, good looking people and right down the street. more

YEEHAW! 7/20/2003

Saddle Ranch is the best! Come for a good time and friendly people. The waiters and bartenders are hot, as is most of the crowd. It's easy to meet people and talk here, especially around the bull ring and outdoors. The place is casual, so wear jeans, but you can spice it up with a cowboy hat and fit in fine. Get the huge drinks for $12.50 its definitely worth it! The food is pretty good too and reasonably priced. Come early on the weekends to get parking in their lot, which is probably the cheapest parking on Sunset. If not, be prepared to shell out $20 for other lots on the strip. Pros: good looking people, good drinks, fun and friendly Cons: small parking lot, service can be slow more

Saddle Ranch 5/1/2003

I wasn't sure what to expect from this place. The mechanical bull lured us in. Although it was way too crowded at first b/c many people were waiting to dine there (in another room), the crowd eventually fanned out. They have interesting drinks that they serve in half-sized carafes (their Alabama Slammers are the best), and the bartenders are always ready to help - although several of us realized at the end of the night that we were charged for more drinks than we had - so be careful. We rode the mechanical bull which was a riot and met some really nice and interesting people. Both locals and out-of-towners go here. We had went to the Sky Bar and a few other bars, but this was our favorite! Pros: Entertaining, Great Drinks Cons: Music/No Dancing, Overcrowded, Sketchy Bartenders more

IT'S AN ATMOSPHERE! 4/15/2003

I wouldn't recommend coming to Saddle Ranch unless you are in it for the atmosphere. This place is wild and crazy, but always fun! Not a dull moment! It can get a bit packed on a Friday night. Even bouncers say ""If you can move, we aren't crowded"". I liked the all around ambiance. If you're not in it for the atmosphere you shouldn't come! Leave more room for the ones who like it! Pros: Fun,, Wild,, Good drinks Cons: little crowded,, parking (never easy, anywhere) more

fun and friendly 3/24/2003

I went for the first time with a friend from out of town and we had the best time! Everyone (guys and girls!) were genuinely friendly and cool! The bartenders and bull-operators were really cute (talked us into riding the bull, but didn't charge us) and we saw so many celebs! Taye Diggs, Lance from NSYNC and a bunch of others - and nobody made a big deal out of it, which was cool. The place is big enough that you don't feel cramped, but small enough to keep your eye on someone and not lose them in the crowd. Also, the big deck is great for smokers, or just to get some air. I had a great time, and I'll definitely go back soon! Pros: laid-back, good drinks, celeb sightings Cons: gets crowded, some "frat boy" types more

THE BEST BAR ON SUNSET 3/23/2003

went there w/a girl on crutches, very accomodating. helped her in and found us a table. great prices for sunset also. ride the bull Pros: open, inexpensive, great service more

Bottomless???? 3/7/2003

i went there for the BOTTOMLESS drinks promotion, and got cut off after only 2 drinks! what a con! more

Fun Times! 2/25/2003

yea it might be crowded...but would you rather go somewhere with like 5 people? The atmospehere is great...it is a lot of fun...and the drinks are good! as long as you're with the right people...sunset is a good time! Pros: good drinks, nice atmosphere, awesome bartenders Cons: Parking! more

Over the learning curve... 1/30/2003

The Saddle Ranch I grew to love 2 years ago is back! There was a 7 month period where food and service stunk, but they're back to normal. I went recently and the food was better, with a whole new expanded menu. They've cut down on the carrot garnish! Still a little touristy for this LA native, but a fun place to meet friends. Sadly, they got rid of the hot chicks and boys and now all the servers are just plain looking. The roaming musicians also suck. Pros: Large servings, Party Atomsphere, Great value Cons: Roaming musicians, Too many TVs, Valet Parking more

hot, sexy Men 1/23/2003

Saddle Ranch is the best place to be on the Sunset Strip. The poeople are great and the men are great. I am very fond of Tom on of the Managers. Pros: Men, Great drinks Cons: Very Crowded more

Big Drinks, Small Bar 1/1/2003

The place needs to expand. It's always overcrowded. The mechanic bull is good entertainment. They serve humongous drinks for about $12. Very well worth the money. You can't beat free entrance. Pros: Huge Drinks, Good Looking Women, Free Entrance Cons: Overcrowded, No Dance Floor, Occasional Long Line more

THE WAITERS GO ABOVE AND BEYOND 11/7/2002

THE WAITERS ARE WORTH THE TRIP, ESPECIALLY RYAN. THE FOOD'S GREAT AND THE CROWD IS EVEN BETTER. Pros: ryan the waiter more

Most Beautiful Girl in the World 10/24/2002

Well, if it was luck, then, well... ok. I was traveling through West Hollywood, and found a jewel in the rough. Great food, Good prices, and Fantastic service. The best part was the Most Beautiful girl in the Country, work as a bartender??? This Beautiful soccer player should be a model, or an actress. Until then, you Saddle Ranches have it made. Pros: Location, Pretty Girls, Games on Cons: live in Michigan, not enough parking, needs new pool table more

FUNNEST PLACE ON THE STRIP! 10/9/2002

THIS PLACE IS GREAT IF YOU'RE LOOKIN TO HAVE A FUN-FILLED NIGHT. FOOD IS GREAT, RIDING THE BULL IS FUN, AND YOU MIGHT EVEN GET TO SEE A COUPLE CELEBRITIES. BUT...IT GETS REALLY PACKED ON THE WEEKENDS, PARKING SUCKS, GOTTA WAIT A LONG TIME FOR A TABLE..BUT OTHER THAN THAT YOU'LL HAVE A LOT OF FUN. IT'S A VERY ENJOYABLE PLACE TO EAT, DRINK AND HANG OUT. IT'S A VERY FRIENDLY AND SOCIAL ATMOSPHERE, LOTS OF GOOD LOOKING PEOPLE ALL AROUND YOU. AND WATCHING DRUNKENS RIDE THE BULL IS ALWAYS FUN! DRESS TO IMPRESS! Pros: EXCITING ATMOSPHERE, GOOD FOOD, THE BULL! Cons: GETS TOO PACKED, PARKING more

Yee Haww! 9/22/2002

This is one of the friendliest places in town. No where else have I seen the bartenders actually ask you, ""HEY, you wanna drink?"" Beats forcing my way to the bar to get a drink. And when I ate there, I got a great seat, and the host actually bought both of us a shot (and did one with us). The entertainment is actually pretty good; but that bull will give you a rash the next morning. The crowd is usually in jeans, and pretty friendly. It does get busy. And the food is large and fits the scene. I've seen celebs: DMX (loves to play pool there), Pam Anderson (looks better in person), and that annoying Dell kid (dude, yer gettin' a dell..) Cool guy. Probably my favorite place on Sunset. Pros: People, Service, dude, they got a bull Cons: gets busy more

fun and food 9/15/2002
