Dr. Mazzolo 12/20/2011

Chose SDG after my own dentist of 20 years didn't take my new plan. Upon first calling they were very nice and accommodating. They got me in right away and my wait was less than 10 minutes. Dr. Mazzolo was great. I had another emergency a couple of days later and again they accommodated me. I needed to have a tooth pulled and they got me into their Nesconset office same-day. Everyone there was also wonderful. I'll be back! more

Went there for an emergency. Was taken on time, and treated very well. I am a very nervous patient and was treated with care and made to feel comfortable. I usually try to avoid the dentist but I think I will be going back more

Dr Michael Ioannou Awesome experience 12/21/2010

I just recently saw Dr. mike in his Commack location and had a wonderful experience with my son. My son would not sit in the chair with any other Dentist, but felt very comfortable with Dr. michael Ioannou. Dr. Mike and his staff were very warm and pleasant from the minute we walked into the door. He was successful in taking my son out of pain and putting a smile on his face. We are so greatful we found this awesome office!!!! more

I brought my 6 yr. old there because she was crying that her tooth hurt. She was not due for a cleaning. All they did was take an x-ray and say she had a really big cavity but they don't have the time to fill it. The soonest appointment they were willing to give her was 6 weeks away. more

Dr. Michael Ioannou 4/7/2009

Today I had a wonderful experience. My daughter may be difficult at times and is terrified of dentists. I have taken her to two other pediatric dentists and they couldn’t even get her to open her mouth. Dr. Mike was great with her! He sang to her and explained everything to her in a very child friendly manner. I was very impressed with his interactions with my daughter as well as with his dentistry. My daughter had two baby root canals and crowns placed and she did not even cry or complain of pain! It was really such a positive experience and I do not think she will be afraid of going to the dentist anymore. more

I have been a patient at Sachem Dental for about three years. I have been very happy with the treatment I have received. The staff and doctors are always accommodating if I ever have a problem or an emergency. I highly recommend this practice. more

Sachem Dental- DR. MIKE IOANNOU 3/17/2009

Cannot even speak- I walked out of the office today after my 7 year old saw "Dr. Mike". It was our second appointment and the very last, I can assure you. We were treated very badly by him, mostly yelling at me and VERY RUDE. I will not go into details but I can say that he was very unprofessional. I was there for my sons teeth to be worked on, not for me to be lectured and yelled at (the whole time I was there, not kidding.) I couldn't take it anymore and quickly left, in tears with my son, never to return. He calls himself a Pediatric Dentist, hmmmm, Not child friendly, at all. more

If I was you... 10/17/2008

You would be better off using auto mechanic tools on yourself, rather then have these butchers do any dental work. I had a cap put in and it is inferior work done by one of their dentists. You have to see it to beleive it. I went to another dentist and he confirmed my fear of the substandard craftmenship of my tooth. more

Sachem Dental - "Dr Mike IANNOU" 9/23/2008

Incompentant Sounds Right.... Today I had made my 2nd visit to the Pediatric Dentist "Dr Mike" whom treated my son whom is 6. During his visit, He Was Yelled Out "To Be A Man!" While Being Treated as MY SON gagged during fillings! Then he asked us to leave while he finished working on my son.(We were not even making a sound!)Then to walk to the receptionist & be told Dr Mike does not take Our Insurance... Why weren't we told prior to appt? POOR Service. BEWARE...NOT CHILD FRIENDLY & Poor Office mgmt! more

Incompetent 9/18/2007

That is one word that can sum up Sachem Dental as a whole. They charged me for fillings up front and told me several times that my insurance wouldn't cover the procedure. After calling my insurance provider I was refunded my money and advised to switch dentists because of this occurance. They are too big to keep track of their patients and/or care about them. I had to pay wisdom teeth surgery out of pocket because they messed up my insurance information. It was the worst experience I've ever had and I advise anyone considering them to think again. I have yet to be refunded. Incompetent. more

I am over fifty and have seen many dentist's in my life time. The day I met Dr.Woolf, my whole mouth took on a new meaning. It has been 18 months since Dr.Woolf repaired all the damage in my mouth. I am happy to say that I have been pain free and have no more discomfort. His staff is very friendly and helpful. I feel you are treated like a friend and not just a client. I highly recommend this dentist to anyone that asks for a good dentist. more

Clean and modern place 8/17/2005

If you are tired of the private home dental practices, then this is the place for you. It is up to date, clean, and the staff is very friendly. There are TV's in most of the rooms, so you don't have to stare at the ceiling while you teeth are being cleaned. You will be glad you switched. more
