Many years after the surgery, another Dr. told me it was done very poorly. 9 out of 10 of the nails had grown back some, causing pain for my cat that he probably lived with for a long time. Dr. Harris did that surgery. To do something so incompetently is unacceptable. When my veterinarian called Dr. Harris to speak with him about it, he was rude and arrogant to her. I believe the new Dr. because I worked at her veterinary hospital for several years. She is honest and caring and wouldn't make something like that up.
