SSB Kids/Tulsa Cheer Academy

WOW I love this place, I find it amazing that people can slam this place here is a thought, instead of slamming it look at the facts, My child had to be reprimanded for behavior issues and I was fine with it. I have seen little ones act out and misbehave and this is an injustice to the families that pay to perform. "Laurie S" sounds like you also do not like businesses succeeding, I personally do not like Kmart, I wonder if they worked hard at making there business a success. My business is a success and i worked hard as well.... Great job SSB keep it going my children will be returning to not just camps but school as well. more

My children go to the camps at SSB Kids and have not just fun but are also challenged.\r They talk about the singing and gymnastics all the time and it usually takes about 2 months to stop hearing the songs after camp which is right about the time they go back and start on more.\r They came back telling me how they are doing videos using the campers and showing them on the big screen, how awesome is that.. where do i see a movie? more

My children have had the confidence they needed to be able to not only do the skills but also the confidence to make new friends everytime they move up to another level.\r Thank you SSB. more

I am not sure what the complaints were for this place, every parent in my opinion believes they have the next champion however.\r As a parent i know that mine are decent and could go further but some children just want to have have fun.\r The coach that we have is very good with children and spends much time building self esteem up and believes everyone of the students are champions. I say if you are frustrated with this gym try another and stop complaining just cause this may not be fit for you, i almost based my choice because of the review i looked at but thankfully i tried it out especially since they give free trials.\r way to go SSB.\r Alicia Montgomery. more

My son attended a week of summer camp and was set to go for a couple more but I had to cancel because he was getting bored. I would say that this place is probably good for a birthday party or class but not an all day summer camp. more

I have a lot I could say about this gym. 1. It is all about $$$$$$ there, they really don't care for your child, they pretend they do, but when you turn your back its a whole different world. 2. Favoritism , if you don't spend thousands of dollars a month there, you invisible in their eyes. You see daily the only people they get to know are the ones who put their kids through the pre-school and classes, children should be treated equally. 3. Talking behind backs, I have never seen so much drama in a facility before. The teachers will talk about other kids, parents, etc.. TACKY! 4. If I call, I have to call more than 3 x's to get ahold of someone. Everytime I seen the owners and workers it seems like they are overwhelmingly stressed out. 5. I have NEVER seen so much turnover in staff. I met a sweet young girl who was very genuine to my child, before I knew it the next week she was gone and no explanations. 6. SAVE YOUR MONEY and go to another facility.. it may be a wonderful place, but they definitely don't hold what they stand for ''Spirit, Soul & Body''.. Pros: null Cons: null more

In today's world it is hard to find a postitive, healthy environment for our kids--especially when it comes to sports! SSBKids provides such a breath of fresh air. The coaches teach not only skills but also character. The truly care about the kids & have called many parents the day after practice to make sure the child is ok if the tweaked an ankle, etc. We have witnessed many interactions between coaches & athletes at meets that reinforce our belief that our gym is unique. They motivate thru fear & embarrassment while our coaches motivate thru love & encouagement. My daughter has developed many good friends that she sees outside of practice. As parents, we have also developed friendships w/ other parents looking for a healthy, safe place for our kids. I can't say enough good things but check it out for yourself & you will immediately see what we are all excited about! more

THIS GYM IS THE BOMB!\r \r We have been a part of gyms all over the United States and this one rates a 10. The owners are all about the total child, they work hard to instill strong moral principals in a competitive environment. They teach how to win gracefully and provide a safe place to learn how to lose and still be a winner.\r Their staff is so team orientated and very knowledgeable in the sport. Every summer my kids BEG me to let them go to SSB Camp. My kids are 10 and 5 and say they love the gymnastics, coaches, swimming, trampolines, crafts and overall fun time. I like the positive messages from the entire staff and the great exercise and fun they have. We do at least 3-4 week camps each year and also do some gymnastic classes during the rest of the year. We love it and have only positive experiences! more

Not only is SSB kids a great gymnastics, cheerleading, karate, dance, adult fitness, preschool, swimming and birthday party facility they care about the kids that they are blessed to be in contact with. At SSB it isn't just about the skills they teach or the teams they develop, but about the true character building opportunity that is available to every child who enters their doors. My daughter has been a recreational and a competivite gymnast at SSB for 6 years, and not only is she a good gymnast, she has become a very well rounded individual! more

Great facility, Great coaching staff, reasonable fees, everything a parent could want. My daughter has been at SSB a few years and loves it. Every child has a chance to perform at their level and pace. Whether your child comes to the gym for exercise or to be an elite gymnast, you will find it at SSB. more

Our two children started at SSB 2 years ago. I watched the staff as they gradually coaxed my kids into learning new skills. I was very impressed with how much my children learned and improved during those two years. My daughter is now on the team. They have helped her overcome some personal difficulties and have shown her nothing but a great deal of love and support. The owners are constantly on the floor training the kids along with the other coaches and they take such an interest in each child. They constantly talk to them about getting good grades and doing their best in, not just gymnastics, but every endeavor in which they undertake. I have nothing but praise for the quality of coaching, the standard of excellence and the personal interest the coachs take in each and every athlete. I also love the fact that the owners are good christian people so I don't have to worry about the music or language my children will be exposed to while at the gym. Over the past three years, I have seen the owners take hundreds, maybe thousands of dollars from parents, cash their checks, then kick their children out of ther so called "Christian gym." How do you think they have built that enormous new facility? They are the worst in the world! They treat their kids so badly and rip off people as much as they possibly can!!! more

We have been associated with this gym since we moved here in 2002. We commute to the gym sometimes 6 times a week during competition (approx. 90 miles round trip)! Multiply x 6 = 540 miles! It is an investment in our daughter. \r \r SSB is very competitive and they try to stay abreast of what is current in the needs of families and kids. Their facilities are top notch. Just travel around and check out other gyms. We have been to several gyms around the United States considering all of the USAG competition meets we have been a part of! \r \r My daughter has moved through the USAG Levels on Floor and Trampoline averaging approx. a level a year. She will be competing at Level 10 next year and she is only 11. I wish you could see all the ribbons and medals she has won during her time at SSB! The facility, staff and program is beyond any other. They have state of the art equipment and are constantly adding new things all the time. Once you've taken a class and experienced the fun, you feel like family. Everyone is thrilled you're there and want to see you succeed! The staff is highly experienced and attentive to the needs of the children. For gymnastics, cheer, dance, karate, swimming or camp, you can't find anything better than SSB Kids!, just ask my kid! more

SSB Kids is absolutely terrific. They have been around forever and have a quality track record. The facility is one of the best in the nation and the staff is incredible. Who wouldn't love this place. My kids love it. I love it. What's not to love. Check it out, and you'll be a believer, too. more

My son has been going to SSB Kids gymnastics for over a year. The owners are out there on the floor, know the kids names, and really love the children. This is a very large operation, so the fact that the owners are out there is unusual and impressive. I like the parent viewing area because it is open with plenty of seating. They just got a new instructor that is marvelous. The others are good, but this man is exceptional. The kids immediately took a liking to him, and he is one of the world's best on trampoline. I wish I could remember his name to give him the proper credit. more
