Top notch 10/15/2010

Steve Harber and his team are the best in the business. The service department is top notch, too. I travel from Murrieta, past other dealerships, to the House because you are THAT good! Thank you! more

Gentle and attentive 10/12/2010

My Rhino was no spring chicken. I had heard all the good things about guys coming in on off days to ""take care of customers"". But boy did the guys at House make it happen! I was so worried. It was my first time. I have nothing but good memories. How special that they would take time to be so gentle and attentive with me. I was not their first, but they made it feel that way. Thanks, guys! more

Journey worth the trip 10/1/2010

Let me start by saying all I was looking for was a good bike at a good price.I found the bike I was looking for on ebay,I did not know that it was a dealership that was selling the bike at first.I was surprised that the questions I had were answered right away and even the calls I made responded too in a timely response.Long story short,I was the high bidder and got the bike.Drove 235 miles one way to get the bike, expecting just to hand over the cash and throw the bike in the truck. What I didn't expect was a tour of the facility,Met everyone in the place,Excellent crew by the way.The facility is outstanding,Very clean, very professional. They even gave me a demo on the bike.I hate driving, however this place made the journey worth the trip.I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking to buy or for service. Thank you for a pleasant buying experience more

my worries were over 9/27/2010

My compliments on your excellent customer oriented staff. I purchased a scooter from Doug Wiley a couple years ago & it was very professionally handled. I since sold it & came in yesterday with a problem on my new bike purchased from a private party. Tony & Brad in the service department listened to my dilema & said they could help me & not to worry as it wasn't as big a deal as I was making it out to be. Brought it in for service & they took care of me right away & didn't even charge for the frozen oil drain bolt fix I was fretting about!. The parts guy, Henry, got me exactly what I needed, and the cashier Ellie was so nice and courteous (and cute) - - my worries were over and it didn't cost me an arm and a leg as your competition had advised it might! I can't say enough about the experience & you still have my dedication as a customer. The other bike dealers in SD could take a lesson or two from you all - - you guys ""get it"" more

feels like home 9/23/2010

Upon moving to San Diego in 1999 i searched out all of the bike shops in town. I've tried them all and H.O.M. is the only place that feels like H O M E. The knowledgeable staff always takes the time to help you find the right part for your bike, the best fit for a helmet, special ordering a hard to find item or mounting your race tires and NOT scratching the rims! It's called customer service. more

courteous and friendly 9/20/2010

House"" needs to change their slogan from ""it's all about the ride"" to ""it's all about the customer"". In an age where customer service has gone by the way side, the management, sales and service folks at House know how to treat and take care of a customer. I had been away from riding for about 20 years and when I went to SD House to look at bikes, the salesmen, Paul took the time to ask me the right questions. He spent the extra time to ask me about my riding background, what I would be using the bike for, what I expected from the bike and the dealer and just about me. Without up selling, Paul fit me to the bike I needed, wanted and could afford. The service department is open and helpful. They have a clean shop, which translates to they take care of their ""house"" (pun intended) so they will take care of your ride. The entire staff is courteous, friendly and nice to be around. You can buy a bike in several places in San Diego, but if you want a bike with a dealer you can trust to take care of not just your ride, but YOU too, go to San Diego HOUSE OF MOTORCYCLES. Paul, Sean, Jeff, Jay, Soun... YOU GUYS ROCK! Thank you for the great experience and even better ride."" more

Excellent service 9/10/2010

With the qualifications out of the way I can say that SDHMC is the only parts/service shop that I will go to or take my bikes to. I have always received excellent service. I have not had one interaction with anyone in their parts department, a service writer, or a tech that didn't know what they were talking about. \r \r Especially if you are new into motorcycles let these folks help you out. more

Disagree with the negative ones 9/7/2010

I have read several of the posts here and have to disagree with the negative ones. I went to San Diego House of Motorcycles on a recommendation from several friends. I had been away from riding for about 20 years and when I went to ""House"" to look at bikes, the salesmen, Paul took the time to ask me the right questions. He spent the extra time to ask me about my riding background, what I would be using the bike for, what I expected from the bike and the dealer and just about me. Without up selling, Paul fit me to the bike I needed, wanted and could afford. This was a far cry from the experience I had at a dealer in the south bay. more

easy to work with.... 9/3/2010

I just had both tires replaced here. Was promised a four hour turn around and they made good on the delivery time with 30 mins to spare. Professional, easy to work with... more

get your orders in quick 9/1/2010

A few more items were needed to complete our riding pleasure.....these guys really hooked us up! Every time we go there we are greeted and taken care of. Ross found some us a couple of missing things for the Spyder. Thanks so much for going above and beyond. The guys in accessories store really rock. They get your orders in quick and make sure you get your gear fast. more

know what they're talking about 9/1/2010

The mechanics know what they're talking about. They have a good selection of motorcycles and parts and their customer service and mechanical service is quick more

service shop is awesome 8/27/2010

Mike at the service shop is awesome. My bike was wrecked last Thursday due to a faulty lowering link and caused major damage. He got my bike back to me today, 1 week later, and at a very good price. He knew I got screwed over so he hooked it up big time and got me my transportation back in 1 week and she's as beautiful as ever. Wish I could say the same about Point Loma Scooters. My scooter has been in the shop for almost all of 2010. It's great to come to a service shop where people treat you right and actually fix your bike. Thank you Mike, I will recommend all my friends to House of Motorcycles for servicing and only come here in the future. more

I was browsing on the internet, in the field of buying a jetski i found H.OF.Motorcycles i called them and talked to andrae (manager) he totally blew other dealers under the water by $3,000 and i asked ,do you do 100% financing he said of course! and then i asked the prices on his trailers he said there like $800 i was like yee haw ! and so the next day me and my wife went down there at 10:00 a.m and talked to a sales person he showed us the jetski i was like wow i'll take it ! okay here it comes ! and then he got the paper work we filled it out i started asking him about the trailer prices he switched it up on me and said they go for $1,700 and i was like your manager told me $800 and the kid was like oh okay, anyways the kid asked me for $300 down i told the kid i talked to andrae and he said that H.O.M Does 100% finacing THAT MEANS NO MONEY DOWN! his response oh ok . so we filled out the paper work and signed and singed and singned and signed i felt like i was buying a house! and they pulled my credit and pulled and pulled and pulled and pulled ! i had recently purcased a car and my score was 740 ! did i mention i got there at 10:00 am by 12:00 p.m me and my wife ate lunch across the street came back had to sign more paper work, my gutt was turning cuz i felt something was going wrong now ! and and then the sales manager came and said can u put any money down do u have anything stored in your garage i was like huh, are u serios? they wanted me to trade some old rims i had so i said okay! here it comes again ! he said plus $1,000 to i said WHAT ! Pros: nice equipment Cons: bad service more

The Best of the Best! 1/16/2009

I live in Murrieta, CA.\r But I drive to SDHOM when I need something because they really are that much better than any other shop between me and them. I have experience buying a bike with them, with their service dept (which is the BEST anywhere), and I have purchased a ton of gear. Steve is a knowledgeable professional and his well trained staff deliver stellar customer service. I have never had a bad experience at the house! Pros: Customer Service / proces Cons: parking more

Friendly Staff 12/21/2008

As a person who has been going into House of Motorcycles since 2003, I believe they have the friendliest and most helpful staff. I particularily enjoy speaking with Henry in Parts, he's been there over 20 years. Their tire prices were even cheaper than mail order and the deals I saw on their website seemed pretty solid although I've never bought a bike from them before. As to cute girls, haven;t seen any but that would be a nice addition, as would a parking lot, only on street parking is a hassle, but the service and the deal makes it worth it. Cheers Andy Larou Pros: Staff & Prices Cons: Parking & neighborhood more

Good servicing department 7/20/2008

The service department was good. My motorcycle was delivered to SDHOM on Friday. I received a call from the service department the following Wednesday. The manager explained the initial actions taken on the motorcycle. The final pickup was scheduled for Thursday afternoon. The service manager was friendly and courteous. He smiled, shook my hand, and gave me an update on the actions taken to return my motorcycle to safe riding condition. Service fee was fairly priced. Pros: friendly and courteous service department Cons: vehicle pickup department more

-------Bad customer service dont go there- - - - -they s**k! 7/9/2008

I went there and had to ask ""will someone help me"". Finally got an 18yo kid, he didn't even ride a bike.I had him order some parts , they didn't have them in stock of course. Next I wanted a tire , hey they had ONE , I said I'll take it. I wanted them to install the tire .....now thats when things went REALLY BAD. The service department REALLY SINKS....They will order parts and take your money..... but installation.... now thats when you see if a company is truly FULL service or FULL of SH*T. I was told the Manager had to approve if they could work on my Bike. He came out and inspected my Bike and said ""We don't work on Bikes OLDER than 10yrs.,corporate policy......WTF.I lost it.....why didn't the kid who ordered my parts say something 30min earlier. Why didn't the first mechanic warn me. What a waste of time , lousy customer service, policy NOT posted. Little did they know I was willing to spend WHATEVER $$$$$ to get my Bike in shape. It is a rare bike worth restoring .I will take my business anywhere ELSE but House of Motorcycles.\r They don't appreciate the customers .We have a CHOICE of where we spend our money. \r more

bad customer service or is it a girl thing? 5/4/2008

The 1st time i went in to look at scooters no one paid me any mind. I know.. it's a motorcycle shop, but c'mon all the guys were sitting around chit chatting amongst each other. Finally someone came up to us and spoke to us for a bit, but didn't really try to help us out. Okay, maybe we weren't ready and the only good advice he gave us was to get a loan from Navy Federal. BTW - we were in the market to buy 2 scooters, both which needed to be atleast 150cc. Well we left not feeling totally rejected... went to Navy Fed to get a loan and returned a week later. Well... same thing happened. No one offered to help us and when someone FINALLY came he didn't know anything for anything. Couldn't give us prices and really didn't seem interested. Did i mention that we had the money to buy 2 scooters?? yeah.. so we took our business else place (Alba) and we were treated extremely well and bought what we wanted for an extremely good price. Pros: which there were Cons: bad service, no service more
