The worst and most Expensive, opt for Capital Grille instead!!! 3/15/2007

THe food was just so-so, and the prices are horrifical! We go out on a weekly basis, and we try to find the best steak every where, well this place doesnt even come close to the best. Not worth the trip. Capital Grille is 100 times better, for about the same price. Service is even worse then the food! The only thing i liked about the place were the cocktails. Crab Stuffed Mushrooms rocked, Steaks that melt in your mouth,And last but not least the Chocolete Mousse Cheese Cake........You just have to try it. \r \r My only ""complaint"" if I could even REALLY call it that was their wine list was not as comprehensive as I would have liked.\r \r If you going to get the whole experiance from appitizers to desert your going to spend about $150.00 for 2 people. I can still taste those cheesy potatos! I liked all our food at Ruth's Chris, and the service was really good! Our server was able to point out his favorite things on the menu and also suggested nice wine pairings! Yes, it's expensive, but not overly so, and not any more than the other restaurants in the area. Our steaks were good and we liked the sizzle of the hot butter. Overall I would say we had a good experiance, and will go back. Pros: Our server, Lou, was great! Cons: We were too fule to eat dessert! more

The Ruth's Chris Steakhouse is one of the finest chains in the country. Not only does it surpass most other steakhouse chains, but here you will find the some of the classiest and consistently delicious food. i had waited a long time to go to ruths chris steak house because i heard it was soooo good.well as usaul i was let down again!!when we recived the 1 page 8 item menu i thought it was the specials WRONG!!that was it!!what are they thinking???i thought i would be able to have the best prime rib of my life there WRONG not on the menu i cant even remeber what i ate because it was such a dissappointment.the service was ok and the restaurant itself is very pretty. more

Best Steak in Michigan 7/11/2005

This is by far the best steak in Michigan, although after looking at the list I may try a couple of the places listed. Rare is the way to get your steak here, and do be careful when you order side items as you get enough for at least (2) people. more

My husband and I went to this restaurant for our wedding anniversary. The staff was very gracious, helpful, and informative of their menu. The atmosphere was very quiet and it was easy for my husband and I to talk to each other over dinner. The food was, of course, excellent. Their selection of wine and champagne was also excellent. This is a top of the line restaurant when you know you want to dine in style. We highly recommend this restaurant. PROS: Formal dining CONS: None that I can think of more

Best Restaurant Ever 5/20/2004

From the first time we ever had the pleasure of Ruths Chris Steak House we just can't seem to get enough. A friend suggested since we enjoyed Ruths Chris so much we try another steak house. Wasn't even comparable. Ruths Chris has it all. From the atmosphere, the prompted seating a staff that excepts all, the food and the best for last The Steak (tenderest, juicest, mouth watering and melt in your mouth) flavor ever. Great Job Ruths Chris! Pros: Friendly Service, Good Parking, Great Portions more

Absolutely the best steak I have ever had! The hot plates seem to keep the steak hot until the very end...if you can finish it all. I've also dined at the one in Honolulu but the steak in Detroit was far superior. Great atmosphere and excellent service. more

Ruth's Chris Steak House is the same wherever you go and that is a ten rating. Consistentcy no matter where you visit one. Having traveled extensively and to many locales during my professional and personal life it is with sincere gratitude that I gave a ten rating to this organization. Also noticed in reviewing some of the low ratings they primarily involved price. The one item they probably overlooked is the double pork chops for a very reasonable price. ""Get Real"", price does count and most times has an undue influence on a rating. Pros: Food, service, parking Cons: price more

The steakburger is exceptional for lunch, although a little pricey. Everything is a la carte, so be careful or you could spend more than you think. Keep in mind, however, that these items are enough for 2-3 people. more

Visited 12/2002, The atmosphere was not ""at all"" what I expected. I was attempting to have a quiet dinner with a date, and was disappointed with exactly the opposite. The server was somewhat Rushed, the seating was cramped, and it was difficult to carry a conversation with my date without yelling. I WOULD NOT recommend this restaurant for a date or when planning an event for a group. Quite Over-Priced also !! more

We drove a 122 Miles to get there 12/24/2002

My family visited Ruth Chris's Steak House in the Detroit area recently. We were delighted by the quality of the food and the fine service. We traveled 122 miles one way to arrive there. It was worth the time and drive through holiday traffic. The steaks were sizzling and full of flavor while being cooked exactly to our order. There isnt any other steakhouse that could stand up to Ruth's Chris Steak house. Here in Detroit or anywhere else. I was just in Cancun 2 weeks ago and ate at the one there. Same goes for the one in Chicago. The food is always spectacular! Pros: Great food, Great atmosphere, Great Service more
