I love RC but I don't know wath happend to them.... I ordered a $48 cowboy steak last night medium rear it was by fare the worst steak I ever ate!!! over cooked (well done no flavoir and more them 2/3 fat and burned.. Service was as always great but quality about the food forget it!!!... I will not return to this restaurant ... Shame on them... more

My First Great Steak was in the Original Ruth's years ago. Things have not Changed one little bit. An Absoulte must eat at Steak House. If you don't you have not tasted good steak. Berns and Ruth's are pretty much the front of the Steak House Pack!!! more

All Hype - No Quality 11/15/2005

I've dined at five different RC steak houses. Over the weekend of Nov 12th my wife and I dined at the Tampa location before heading home from our vacation. The ambience was nice and the service was quite good - I am happy to give credit where it is due. However, the food was horrendous! My filet mignon ($35.00+) was a gritty, fatty piece of leather - not a tender filet as it should have been. The lobster Bisque was also terrible and the seared Ahi Tuna was a chunk of raw fish with a substandard glaze. We were terribly disappointed. Someone needs to teach (or re-teach) this place how to purchase and prepare quality food - especially for the astronomical price they charge. We will not dine again at an RC. Pros: great service Cons: terrible food, terrible food prep, over priced more

This is definately not Atlanta's Ruth's Chris! The service was very slow considering the early light traffic. Plenty of managers at the door, but less than attentive staff. For the first time, the steak ordered was tough (cooked medium rare). This was our first visit to the Sarasota restaurant, the decor was nice and fitting for the community.
