G.B. Russo & Son is a WONDERFUL locally-owned specialty food & wine store!! They just expanded, doubling their size & product selection! This place is a century-old "mom-and-pop" shop with a delicious gourmet international food & wine selection. What I really like about them is that they are family-owned, & they have caring & helpful employees that will give you a more personalized shopping experience. I would recommend them to anyone that enjoys fine food & wine, along with a great shopping experience! more

YUMMMMM! 9/12/2005

Russo's is a smaller international grocery with a large inventory. It is packed with many varieties of foods, wine and housewares. Their wine prices are excellent and you can find unique wines and beer. They offer premade (homemade) frozen pastas, pizzas and desserts along with a fabulous deli! Their selection of cheeses is wonderful. When I come here I always find something delicious to take home and I feel like I am in a store in the Italian part of Chicago! more

Food From Afar 8/14/2005

GB Russo is an international grocer located on 29th Street. There is a wide variety of hard to find food items from different countries. The store also has a great wine and beer selection. The prices are reasonable, but the store is a little grungy. In particular the non food items are sort of shoved on the shelves. But they do carry many unique items, so it's worth checking out. more

Great International Grocer 7/26/2005

When I get the desire to get some great International foodstuffs or a fantastic bottle of wine, I skip the World Market and go further down 29th street to Russo’s. They have among the finest selection of wines in Grand Rapids and helpful staff that can assist you in selecting what type of wine you may need. Dealing with 28th street traffic can be a bit of a hassle sometimes, but depending on the route you take, you may be able to avoid 28th all together. Otherwise, there are no other issues I see with Russo’s and anytime I am in the area I make it a point to stop in. more
