It's unfortunate that more people do not take the time to write a review when they have experienced OUTSTANDING service.....instead, most are only so inspired when they have what they interpret as bad service.\r \r I have been using Russian Universal services for over 3 years. \r I work for a very large, global corporation and consistently apply for passports and visas for my executives and their employees. I heard about Daniel and this company when I was in a bind and needed a quick turnaround on a Russian Visa. It was processed and sent back to me within 2 DAYS! I have not used any other service since. I refer everyone I know to Daniel, at Russian Universal Services, who is and always has been, EXTREMELY helpful and pleasant to work with. I've sent well over 30 requests to him and have never had an issue with ANY of them. For all of those I referred to Daniel, all have come back to me extremely grateful for the connection and with nothing but compliments on him, his customer service and the speed with which he can turn around a request.\r I will continue to use Daniel for ALL of my travel documents. \r Thank you Daniel, for your fabulous customer service and for always making ME look good! more

Excellent service, very timely and professional from the time I handed over all of my documents, through the pickup of my expedited (renewal) passport. With my trip to the France quickly approaching, I knew that I needed to avail myself of Russian Universal Services. The pickup and drop-off feature was especially helpful as I did not want to entrust my documents to the US Postal Service (no offense to any USPS employees who might be reading this) and add an extra layer of uncertainty into an already fraught process. Russian Universal Services completely removed the drama, even delivering what was promised one business day earlier than expected. more

My friend recommended me this place. This is the BEST Los Angeles Passport and Visa Services Agency. All I can say is that they came through for us and saved our trip, when nobody in the Los Angeles area could help us. They basically do everything from A to Z when it comes to US passport services or travel visa services, and make it unbelievably easy and painless. And most importantly, we didn't feel overcharged. My family had a trip scheduled to Russia. One week prior to our tip, we realized that my passport is expired and my 12 year old son has NO passport at all. I called several expediting agencies explaining my problem and no one promised to get my travel documents on time. I was devastated. My tickets were nonrefundable. I called my friend and she recommended calling Russian Universal Services. On Tuesday morning I was at their office with my son. Daniel Lerman (company owner) was very understanding and helpful. He explained me all procedures. He completed all necessary paperwork and took my pictures. On Friday morning I had both passports with visas in my hands. WOW!!! He did the impossible! \r It's really a blessing to have such a company around that makes life easy for all kinds of travelers with their passport and visa requirements. I will be using them for my business and personal travel requirements and referring them to others as well. \r more

After a bad experience at Sameday Passport on Pico involving overcharging and shoddy service, I headed over to Russian Universal and was processed in 15 mins for half the price. Highly recommend! more

These guys are a great Los Angeles based passport and visa agency. I had a problem where I neglected to renew my passport when it expired and sure enough I called to leave to country. So I looked around and saw that having a passport rushed was very pricey and I wanted to make sure things went perfect or else I would of been in a bad spot. So I came across Russian Universal Services and they did a fantastic job, every one was so helpful and got me in and our of there fast.\r \r I would highly recommend them to any one requiring a passport or visa need.\r \r more

DO NOT use them!!! If there was an option to give them -5 stars, I would have! If you need to renew your Russian passport, just deal with the consulate, weirdly, their service is MUCH BETTER!\r To start with, the service is not that good. They say they will call you but they never do, till you start calling them yourself and leave messages. Their website gives you one information while in fact that info is long time no valid. Such as, the website states that the passport will be mailed to you and for people living far from San Francisco that sounds very tempting. When you ask Russian Universal Services whether that is the case, they don't give you a straight ""no"", they say something like ""it will be clear by the time your passport is done. If we cannot mail it to you then you will just get it from the consulate representative that visits your state about every 3 months, in any case you won't have to travel to CA"". When time for my passport to be ready comes, I wait for the RUS's call and never receive one, I check the consulate website that states that my passport is ready, I call the RUS and ask them how and when I am going to receive my passport. They say that unfortunately the consulate does not allow them to pick up the passports on people's behalf anymore, but no worries the consulate representative will be in my state some time soon and I will be able to pick up my passport then. I ask them when exactly that representative is going to be in my state, they tell me to call the consulate and ask them, although, I paid money to the RUS so that they deal with the consulate not me. But at this point, I think ""OK, I guess, I can call myself"". And, of course, when I ask the consulate about that mysterious representative, they get very surprised and say ""no, they don't have any representatives going to different states and dealing with passports"" ... Denis or what's his name from the RUS was ass stubborn saying that the consulate doesn't know any better and the representative will be in my state if not within 3 months, then definitely within half a year and that the RUS will give me a call as soon as they know when that is going to happen ... Needless to say that I never got any calls from them since then and ended up dealing with the consulate myself trying to get my passport.\r Please, do not repeat my mistake. This company is definitely ????????! If you need to update your Russian passport, just deal with the consulate, it will be cheaper and less stressful. Moreover after writing this review, I am going to report the RUS to the Better Business Bureau. more

I must say, I was a bit concerned when i read some of the reviews out here. But my sister had been using this agency for a while so I decided to give it a try when my passport has expired.\r Professional people! Answered all my questions (and i had many :)! Did everything on time! They seemed pretty busy when i came in though so I do recommend making an appointment.... Otherwise, I am a pretty satisfied customer.... more

Great and professional services that I used and will use again and again! They helped me in several matters and always delivered on their promises and on time. They processed papers for my Russian passport renewal and I got new Russian passport within 3 months. They also helped me with immigration papers for my father. I was trying to submit a petition for his greencard 3 times with no success. When this agency processed the papers we got a response from INS in no time and my petition was approved in 4 months. THE WORST customer service!!! absolutely horrible!!! rude AND incompitent!!! my Russian passport is expired so I went to their office in person about 9 months ago submitted all the paper work, payed the fees - and still no passport!!!I called them about 5 times then, getting different answers from everybody... and all they say is WAIT.... so I am waiting.......
