The Best Drive-In Movie Theatre in FLORIDA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 11/4/2010

We left from Orlando,Fl to Ruskin,Fl. Drive-In about 1hr.58min.drive. When your on Tamiami Trail.Look to the left.If you see a McDonalds .You went to far.No worries.Just go back .Get lost.Just call like we did.LOL.It is 813-645-1455. When we got there.It was like going back in time when it was fun to be a teen.I love this Drive-In.Clean and the Food was Awesome!I had the Cheese Burger.It just melted in my mouth.A good old fashioned Cheeseburger.Also had buttered popcorn.It was so fresh and homemade.Loved it!It was 5.00 a ticket per person for Adults.(that price included both movies).Hello, low price and good food.It brought back so many good memories.And the owners Karen and Ted Freiwald was Awesome!.If you want to go back in time and have fun.You have to go here.It is just the best place you want to go to see a movie and stay in your car.Put the speaker on the window or put it on the radio movie station 89.3 FM.PG movies,No Alcohol.Just a fun place to go on weekdays or weekends.Oh,bring the kids,They will love it.It is just the way a Drive-In should be.In my eyes this is the ONLY one your gonna love in Florida . Were planning to go back.Hey,we drove from Orlando,Fl.to this Drive-In.Need I say more:) more

A Great Place to Spend an Evening 1/18/2009

I love this place, it is just like the days when I was young in Pennsylvania. I am 60 years old and i usually go once a week, because I love it. I love all the kids, and you often see vehicles with only adults in. I also love that it is just the way it used to be. It hasn't changed to keep up with the other theaters and the times. The food is good, and the people that run it are awesome and very friendly. That means a lot, that is what you want in a movie theater, not someone that doesn't talk to you and treat you like you are an outsider. I love it and will keep going once a week, provided i like the movies, and there haven't been many weeks i have missed since i started coming. Thank you all for a good experience, i don't do much else, and i enjoy this very very much. Pros: I will keep going back again and again because I enjoy it so much. Cons: I haven't seen anything to complain about since I started going. more

Great theater 12/25/2008

Highly recommend this place...but unlike the person before not coming again...all depends on what you are looking for and whether your a easy going person or other. It is a family run business, and it is in a SMALL town so with that said expect that things can be busy and maybe take a little long...I like it cause it is safe for my family (this is what they advertise as well), myself and very very affordable...where else can you see 2 movies for 5 bucks a person???? Bring your dog? Sit with the kids? hmmn or sit outside in your chair hanging out with your group? If you want a indoor theater then there are plenty go too one! Pros: CHEAP< FAMILy ENVIRONMENT< PETS ALLowED< KIDS ALLoWED AND FREE UNDER 5 Cons: only 2 movies to choose from, sometimes you have rain it is outside, mosquites? LOL more

NEVER GOING AGAIN 10/6/2008

I will NEVER go back. I tired on Memorial day weekend for Indiana Jones and thought that was the reason for the long lines out in the middle of the road. I just went this past weekend, an hour early - and still waited 40 minutes in the car. This place should be shut down until the city forces them to create a turn lane or a smoother entry process. The 2 girls taking $$ and checking coollers chit chat with everyone. They should have to pay employees to go down the car line and take tickets and check coolers or be forced by the county to have a police man direct traffic. People cut each other off and everyone is very angry and upset by the time they get in. I would generally welcome the no alcohol rule, but by the time I got inside I needed a drink. I went with a group of about 15 and everyone said the same - never go back. The nasty bathroom, and dark dingy snack bar don't compensate for the wait. more

NAKEDNESS 5/2/2008

I usually go Friday late and streak thru the complex . The owners are pretty cool about it, Oh and the popcorn is great. Pros: Grass is soft on my back side Cons: Stains from the grass don't come out more

Best Cheap Family Night Out 1/13/2008

The atmosphere is very friendly, and comfortable. They offer everything from coffee, hot chocolate, candy, as well as awesome hamburgers, pizza, and popcorn. The portions are large compared to a standard theatre. The bathrooms are small, so don't wait til the last minute. My son got picked to experience the projector room and earned a jr. projectionist certificate. more

Owners and employees make everyone feel welcomed. A comfortable and safe atmosphere to enjoy an evening out. Great, homemade pizza & burgers at very affordable prices. This is a place you MUST go to! Pros: Safe, quiet environment. more

Great for the kids! 6/8/2006

I went to the drive in a couple weeks ago and it was great. It is affordable and has up to date movies. It's great for family night. I mean how often can a family of four see a new movie for $9.00. They have great popcorn too. more
