We have been with them for 3 years. They are we friendly.Like most service rates are high. They are not. They do not charge you for the tank. Dependable automatic delivery.

At some point you're going to have to deal with Rural Gas customer service. God help you when you do. And hopefully it won't be to get your stove turned on prior to an important...

At some point you're going to have to deal with Rural Gas customer service. God help you when you do. And hopefully it won't be to get your stove turned on prior to an important gathering of guests.\r \r What you will discover when your day with them comes is they couldn't care less about their customers. And on top of it all they are rude, officious, unreasonable an operate in the last century. \r \r We're now switching service after five years of poor service. \r \r You've been warned! more

terrible, irresponsible, dangerous 2/3/2011

They fell behind on their delivery schedule due to bad weather and didn't bother to notify us. Eventually, we ran out of gas in the middle of an ice storm, at night. If we hadn't been home, our pipes would've frozen and we would have extensive damage. Their excuse: "our deliverymen are busting our humps - we're just weeks behind." more

Do not use Rural Gas. They have no idea how to monitor your tank, and thus you will run out of gas on the coldest days of the year. more

rude and unprofessional 10/21/2010

Unbelievably rude to their customers on the phone (i.e. "you're gonna have to hold on"), though the delivery/service men are nice. They absolutely DO charge for the tank, the reviewer who says they don't must be getting paid off. Lateness with one bill (for $150) has them sending a man to your house to collect, and when you pay him they cut off your service. Seriously, making you call the office to schedule a delivery is the worst punishment imaginable. Terrible business. Go with AmeriGas right off the bat - they must be more courteous and professional than these dimwits. more

They take a while to come fill your tank. When I call they seem to always want to be doing something else other than working. Yet their rates are competitive. more
