Terrible service. My boyfriend and I never even got our entrees, but the rest of our group finally did, although at different times. I do not recommend going here with a large group. The staff was not prepared and not friendly. more

I had dinner with my husband and some friends at Rumba Saturday night. Not only did we enjoy fantastic drinks, dinner and dessert; the service was top notch. The server was very helpful (as we had never been) and had great suggestions. From appetizers and mojitos to dessert and coffee, we were very impressed! I have had just about everything on the menu and continue to be impressed by the food. The Rib Eye over the mashed potatoes is amazing! The sandwiches are delicious (especially the Cuban) and reasonably priced. We generally eat at the bar and the bar staff is exceptional. Very attentive and friendly. I also love the dark atmosphere of this bar and Chris (Speedy) makes the best Cosmo in town. I cannot say enough great things about this place. You must give it a try. 15 minutes WITHOUT even water on the table,or drinks/appetizers ordered. Finally placed drink order,another 10 min wait. When portions of dinner were wrong,waiter pulled TOTAL attitude,was unapologetic, &took things back to the kitchen only after ARGUING w/us about why it wasn't right or offering to fix it. When entrees arrived,other portions wrong,waiter AGAIN pulled attitude. After this,we were told--BY THE MANAGER--it ""wasn't his problem,"" &he ALSO refused to fix/remove these items from our tab. He ""wasn't comfortable"" providing customer service or making WRONG ORDERS--orders HIS kitchen &HIS bar staff flubbed--RIGHT! Rumba definitely lost 5 customers Sat.nite, &judging from the scene the manager made w/his treatment of our table (going off on us?!),I'm sure he lost several tables more &made quite a name for himself &his establishment's reputation.... will NEVER GO THERE AGAIN. My friends and I have been several times for dinner and drinks. We've been treated like royalty every time! The food is amazing, the drinks are great, and the service is beyond reproach. A manager even let my friend step into their freezer (escorted, of course) when she had a huge hot flash! I can't say enough good about this restaurant! more

Asian? The food definitely has a Carribean flavor, and with a name like ""Rhumba""...need I say more. The food is great. Valet parking is a must on a busy night. The drinks are great and interesting. Come on guys...couldn't you spring for some thin padded cushions for the seating? This place is too good to suffer the consequences of uncomfortable seating. I agree that the waiter staff seems to be working everywhere, slightly too visible. The great food far outweighs the few negatives. I have only sampled a couple menu items, and two deserts, and I can already tell Rumba is a restaurant that I will frequent often. The menu is mainly Southeast-Asian, South American, and caribbean. The desserts are outstanding, try the Bacardi 151 flambe flan, or the torta tres leches. Delicous!! The only down side is the EXTREME lack of parking. Man did these guys get gyped in the real-estate area. But the restaruant is good, and the food is great. I plan on getting the Satays next time, and hopefully some rum. Enjoy!! This new hot spot has a great cocktail menu, but we were very disappointed in the food. Not much zing to the entrees, beef was overcooked, and the presentation was uninspiring. Wait staff seemed clueless. There are some neat touches to the decor, but the service areas should have been hidden better. Pros: Great cocktails Cons: Lousy food more
