Ruin is quickly coming upon 10 years in the Atlanta skateboarding scene, and has become a major force in keeping the local scene alive & providing it with a conscience. Ian is selective about what he carries, and would rather lose a sale than push the latest hip product that he doesn't believe in. He doesn't really have as much stuff as some of the other shops in town, but he has the RIGHT stuff, and this has made the shop the first place to go when you are looking for something. It is the kind of grungy, dirty skate shop that the late high school/college/adult skaters can go in for something quick and end up blowing an afternoon or an evening hanging out and watching videos, and there is always someone around to offer advice/suggestions to the new & young skaters just arriving on the scene. There is a total family vibe about the shop - no hipster attitude when you walk in the door. There has to be a reason why the Girl/Chocolate guys stop by this shop every time they tour the South.......
Pros: Great selection & vibe, staff is helpful & knows the product
Cons: Gets crowded on weekends!
