I am with the review below - sadly this once amazing lunch/dinner spot has gone downhill. I last visited 6 mo ago in August when I took my sister, who was in from Dallas, to have lunch. She and I could not get over how absolutely wonderful the signature goat cheese salad was, with toasted almonds, field greens, sun sprouts and dried cheeries. A great cook herself, she actually stated it was one of the best salads she's ever eaten. This past Saturday I ordered the same (around 2pm after the lunch rush) which paled in comparison: the field greens were wilted about a day + past their prime to the point the rotten taste overwhelmed the salad dressing. The almonds which encase the dollup of goat cheese were not toasted at all, which was much of the flavor to this salad; the dried cheeries (or figs?) were apparently left off entirely. I also added grilled chicken ($3.95) to the salad, but was served a dry chicken breast which appeared to have been under the heat lamp for a few hours...likely left over from the noon lunch rush. In addition, my friend's burger (ordered medium) was dry and over cooked. Ruggles green did once produce flavorful and quality food; my guess is that the eco downturn and decrease in people eating out has caused RG to cut back on quality/staff.
I do hope they figure out the management issues/iron out the kinks and bring back the quality of food that once wowed its patrons!!
Pros: Offers healthy fresh foods with a twist
Cons: Food presentation and quality
