Pizza pizza pizza! 10/7/2010

Let me start out saying that I am from NYC and it's really hard to compare most restaurants elsewhere to ny restaurants. Ruggles green is an awesome concept that I haven't really seen elsewhere. So when i came to visit Houston i was surprised to find how good ruggles green actually is...AND QUICK! I got the pepperoni pizza...I love pizza I'm from ny! But this was definitely up there on my list as well and is a GREAT alternative! When i next come to Houston I will definitely make a stop there again! I hear they have other locations and have only heard fantastic things about them. more

I can't get enough of Ruggles Green 10/7/2010

I have been a fan or Ruggles GReen ever since it opened about two years ago in the Kirby/West Alabama location. It is clothes to my home, my kids schools, and basically where i remain! I go there maybe once a week or two week for salads, sandwiched, and tacos. I have kids from ages 4 - 10 and they LOVE the mac and cheese, the sliders and ALL the desserts! Now that CityCentre location has opened, it has become the perfect place to meet my friends that live in Memorial and the Energy Coorider for lunch. Even dinner, where the entire CityCentre turns into a hot spot. I would highly recommend BOTH Ruggles Green locations to anyone looking for healthy dining, YUMMY food, Kid friendly dining, and a great environment - especially the patio at CityCentre! more

fantastic experience! 10/6/2010

Recently I went to Ruggles Green for the first time. After hearing all the hype from it, i decided to try it myself. I had an amazing meal..starting with the Roasted Tomato Basil Soup. I'm very picky about my soups (especially tomato basil) and this was the one of the best i've ever had. It is baked with a crispy puff pastry on top with fresh mozzarella. It was absolutely delicious, and even enjoyed it when it was hot out! more

fantastic experience! 10/6/2010

Recently I went to Ruggles Green for the first time. After hearing all the hype from it, i decided to try it myself. I had an amazing meal..starting with the Roasted Tomato Basil Soup. I'm very picky about my soups (especially tomato basil) and this was the one of the best i've ever had. It is baked with a crispy puff pastry on top with fresh mozzarella. It was absolutely delicious, and even enjoyed it when it was hot out! My friend got the Wood-fired Quinoa Mac & cheese. It looked delicious and of course had a taste of it. I'm also picky about my cheeses, I don't like things too cheesy or a bad flavor of cheese, and this mac and cheese was right in the middle. The bread crumbs on top, topped it all off with a great kick! Not only was the food great, but the service was also very fast and consistent. The waiters and staff are very friendly as well. This is why I give Ruggles Green 5 stars and I HIGHLY recommend Ruggles Green to anyone who enjoys good food. I will be back very shortly as I live and work fairly close! more

Terrific food and terrific patio 10/1/2010

I have been hearing about Ruggles Green from friends and I finally went there Sunday evening. I had the Goat Cheese Salad and a Pizza and they were both great. I want to mention that the patio is fantastic as it looks out over the lawn, fountains, and has it's own wine bar with great music. This may be the best patio in Houston. more

Food poisoning at Ruggles Green City Centre 9/7/2010

I enjoyed my Southwestern Smoked Chicken Pasta and the atmosphere outside with the green and fountains but sadly have been very sick with food poisoning since that night of Sat. Sept. 4th. I missed out on my weekend trip and still can't keep food inside me for very long. The stomach pain is excrutiating. My husband informed the restaurant and they promised to look into the matter and call us back but unfortunately have not. I know someone else who also they there the same night and they too have food poisoning. more

Love the new CityCentre store 8/26/2010

I have been so excited for the opening of the new Ruggles Green location at CityCentre. After visiting several times now, I wanted to share. The new location is just dazzling in atmosphere - sitting outdoors in the treelit park area with burning fountains and enjoying the spicy shrimp pasta was a little piece of heaven. (Not to mention that Anthropologie is just across the way!) Same great desserts, but new specials. Awesome place for a new location - service is great too (especially Walter!) Grand opening is tonight - can't wait! more

The restaurant has a nice outside sitting as well however we had to settle for a booth inside. Really wanted to sit outside that day :) Pros: Fresh Veggies, recommended for vegetarians Cons: self serve so not ideal for sit down late dinners more

Nice location and good food 4/4/2010

I went with a couple of my friends to try this restaurant out. When we reached the place was packed on a Saturday night. The restaurant has a nice outside sitting as well however we had to settle for a booth inside. Really wanted to sit outside that day :) Took us while to read through the menu, we ended up ordering a veggie burger, chicken salad, pasta and chicken burger. Out of which both the burgers were amazing and very good portions. The veggie burger was way different than the normal black bean you get at most other places. Definitely worth trying. I would like to point out though the chicken in the salad was not good, my friend had issues with it (reason for one star less!). But the veggies in the salad were awesome. The pasta was nice and flavorful. We ended up ordering a pecan pie dessert and shared it. The size was good and taste amazing, would highly recommend getting that. Overall would recommend this place, do try it out.. Pros: Fresh Veggies, recommended for vegetarians Cons: self serve so not ideal for sit down late dinners more

The Green is a Go 2/3/2010

This place has been my old faithful for about a year now. The food is so good (love the spicy fish and the new spicy shrimp tacos). The food is always fresh, and unlike most "healthy" resturants, all of it has amazing flavor. more
