Roy Arias Studios & Theatres

I have been to these theatres and rehearsal spaces and cannot stop praising those spaces. I love the fact that it is not only in the best location, but it has great studios and theatres at affordable prices. I love the personal attention and the whole atmosphere. more

Great location. Unfortunately, awful accommodations. The dance floors and marley are laid horribly! Cross your fingers there won't be more than 5 students in your class, given the size of the spaces! Love the new 3rd floor dance office, but they are only there 1/2 hour prior to class... so make plans ahead of time if you're just stopping by to gather info, etc. Otherwise you'll find yourself on a cat and mouse chase. Wonderful teachers! Great staff! (especially considering how much they are given to handle!) I spoke with Roy a few times about problems I've come across-- computer glitches keeping me from class, studio floors, etc. And he was SO rude! I'm paying? Ah.. whatever. Would love to see a nicer approach with Roy with his students who PAY to be there. (And in general too.) But the teachers are great! more

I love this place and I go about three times a week! The classes are small, but if they get big...watch out! No space! However I still love the place and keep coming back(mostly for Jumps and Turns). And I cannot believe it's only 14 bucks! It is worth all your money!! Pros: great selection Cons: not a lot of tap classes more

I've been taking dance classes for over a year and I have no complaints, this is a great , cheap way to keep training on my dancing skills, only $14 a class, is the cheapest NYC dance studio. Dance classes are small so the teachers always pay a lot of attention to you and they direct you very well. I love this place!!! Pros: great teachers, great prices more

I have just begun taking classes here and really appreciate that they are affordable and the teachers are very pleasant. So far I've had great classes, including a master class in Latin Fusion that was amazing.
