Rover Oaks Katy's training program is excellent. The changes they have accomplished in Thor in the last 5 weeks have made him a pleasure to take on my daily walks. A special ""GREAT JOB"" to Danika Thor's trainer. The weekly training classes have been extremely educational and have allowed me to continue Thor's traininmg at home. It brings a smile to my face to see Thor's excitement when he gets to school and is greeted by Danika. It certainly gives me the feeling of confidence as I start my work day. oh man oh man! Max and Tallie have been very frustrated with me because mommy has been unable to take them to doggy day care for about 2 weeks now since she had to be home to deal with contractors and other issues.... Every time i get dressed in the morning they run to the garage door and point at their harnesses, thinking and hoping today will be the day they return to Rover Oaks Katy to play with their fur buddies and human buddies! They sure know how to put the guilt trip on mommy. Melissa, Emily, and everyone else at large dog day care, get the water hose ready for Max, he'll be beside himself to see you again! Everyone at small dog day care, Tallie has a bunch of kisses all saved up for you! I look forward to enjoying a large cappuccino in Peace! without the guilt staredown... i swear these dogs are human! more

I just completed the Good Manners class with my 1-year-old,10-pound dachshund. Although I had tried to teach Blue several commands on my own, it was not until we took Jessie's class that Blue progressed and now easily follows basic commands. This course was the first step in achieving Therapy Dog status for Blue and I can confidently say that Jessie's expertise, patience and deep understanding of each dog's strengths and challenges helped us successfully complete the Good Manners course. I recommend the class....and Rover Oaks.....to anyone interested in developing good habits and skills for both the human handler and the dog. Thank you, Jessie! You were fantastic, provided individual attention and made the class fun (we even missed part of the Super Bowl to attend your class). more

Just completed a 4 week course for my 1 yr old Labradoodle, Sophie. Was very pleased with the training and results, and will do follow-up refreshers. Andrea was passionate and very good with working with Sophie who is large and hyper. We saw results within the first week on some major issues. Just made a reservation for a little refresher course with trainer Jim at Rover Oaks/Katy. The term ""dog whisperer"" has become a cliche but this guy has a gift with dogs you have to see to believe! Apart from an excellent training program, RO provides the perfect getaway for dogs and cats. Our dog gets ramped up when he sees us pull out our suitcases and our felines always enjoy the TLC they receive in Meow Mansion. more

My husband and I have been on a two week vacation, and we boarded our sweet Golden at Rover Oaks (as that is the ONLY place we board her), and as much as we missed her daily, we knew how happy, safe, and content she was. Hopefully she missed us, but being at Rover Oaks is the closest thing to being with us. The staff maintain a daily ritual of play, exercise, treats, and fun. I frequently call in to check on her, and am always greeted with the friendliest, kindest people who take my call with enthusiasm and a detailed report on her to reassure me that she is just fine. I am also reassured that they know animal behavior so well that they would recognize and alert me to any unwanted change, should there ever be.\r We are so fortunate to have this amazing and dedicated facility and so close to us as well. Although, I would travel a great distance just for this service. Thank you Rover Oaks! more

We have a new puppy (Cooper) that we plan to train to be a therapy dog. We thought that it would be important to get him into a puppy class to initiate his socialization. After consulting with Amy @ Rover Oaks Katy and discussing with our vet, we decided to enroll Coioper in the Puppy Class at Rover Oaks Katy. We are so glad that we did, we were able to discover that he was quite timid around unknown dogs, and people which is something we weren't seeing at home. While this class is only 4 weeks, he progressed quite a bit, and we are confident that this class and the incredible trainer Lindsay were responsible for that. Lindsay was extremely effective, decisive in her instruction, and extrememly observant with each of the behanviors of the puppies in the class, which led to additional individual direction for all of us based on our individual puppies. We would highly recommend this class to anyone with a new puppy and we just enrolled Cooper in the Good Dog Manners class.\r \r Chad and Bob more

Over the last three year we have used the Katy facility of Rover Oaks many times to board our Sheltie. We usually get a luxury suite for one to three nights. All the staff is excellent and they know the dogs name as soon as he comes in the door. We usually use the grooming services to have him washed and clipped so that when we pick him up he is in such good shape. The facilities are always clean and in top shape. We love that the staff treat him like royalty because he thinks he is a prince when he stays at Rover Oaks. I would recommend Rover Oak for your dogs next stay.\r Randy S. more

Today we dropped off our Pit-bull Ty for the first time at Rover Oaks for daycare, and I have to say it was nice to see the staff treat him as if he belong to them. My husband and I then took a tour of the private suites & bunkhouse, and was amazed NO odors existed!! Not including every television in the private suites were actually working and on. We were a little nervous leaving him, but circled around and watched how the staff played with not only Ty, but all of the puppies. \r \r Every staff member we came in contact with while dropping and picking up our pet was friendly and very knowledgeable. Lastly, what I loved most, is that they carefully review all pets shots records for both boarding and play groups; which helps keep all pets safe. \r \r He definitely had a great time and we enjoyed seeing him have fun! \r \r \r \r \r more

My golden retriever, Frieda loves to go to Rover Oaks in Katy. She loves everyone out there and is always well taken care of. Frieda started going to the Katy facility about 2-3years ago. We have used the day care and boarding frequently. She also spent a lot of time with the trainer out there. She is a stubborn girl, but the training has definitely helped. I would not use any other place for boarding. Frieda is always to go to Rover Oaks, her home away from home.\r more

Bluebell is a 1.5 year old with a mountain of playful energy and we simply wanted to find a place for her to release it. She would get a little stir-crazy and almost bored at times as an only child. So finding her more social time other than the weekends became a necessity to us.\r \r Bluebell has now been attending Rover Oaks - Katy's doggie daycare for about two months now and we could not be any happier. A full day at daycare nearly takes two days out of Bluebell! The massive play yard and the ability to run with the big boys (Bluebell is 40 lbs and running with the labs and retrievers) twice a week really gives our dog what she needs. Just take a look at their yards and imagine yourself as your dog. Who wouldn't want to run around in that all day with friends!?\r \r I must say that I was a little skeptical about daycares before this experience. My thoughts, or my imagination, of them lead me to believe that they were more of kennels and a small yard than this. Rover Oaks - Katy is not that! It is a first-class facility that welcomes you with open arms and more importantly cares about it's pets. You will notice just how genuine the staff and trainers are when it comes to your loved one. It is that peace of mind knowing everyone from top to bottom will care for your pet just as you would that will keep me coming back again and again. more

My kitten stayed at Rover Oaks over the New Year's holiday. I chose Rover Oaks because it was really clean, and the staff was very welcoming and seemed to be attentive. We checked in on her several times, and the staff kept us up to date on how she was doing. We really liked the report card we received when we picked her up and will be taking her back next time we go on vacation! Definitely recommend Rover Oaks! more

Rover Oaks is the best place for grooming and lodging. The facility is organized, clean, and expansive. Lots of open areas for dogs to play. The staff is awesome, trustworthy, attentive, caring, and informative. My dog loves to stay in one of the luxury suites where she is treated like a queen and gets extra pampering. The groomers are excellent as well. They pay attention to every detail and give my dog the utmost care. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who like to spoil their pets. more

Rover Oaks is the most awesome place to have your dog groomed. My schnauzer loves Melanie and she does a great job. I have never boarded my dog there, but toured the facility which is quite impressive. When you get out of your car, the dogs in the front yards are there to greet your pet with a friendly bark :) more
