Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup

I had a blockage that caused all the water to back up into both the shower and bathtub, and both toilets. I called Roto Rooter and within an hour and a half we had a plumber out to our house on a weekday night just before thanksgiving. He was very professional and efficient. Sherwin was very knowledgeable and polite , but as far as Roto Rooter goes ,I am sure they set the prices for LABOR and they were too costly ! I would have called my own plimber but none seem to work on weekends which is the only time I have to spare as I work also ! more

The kitchen sink was backing upi and no matter how I tried to correct the situation with the use of a snake and liquid drain openers, nothing helped...it only got worse. Desperate and feeling as if dinner wasn't going to be happening in my home that evening, I called roto-Rooter. Their plumber showed up at my door only minutes after calling. He knew how to immediately fix the problem and did do courteously and with expertise. We were having a nightmare with the washing machine backing up and overflowing the kitchen sink. It had gotten to the point where we were using ""mini-loads"" which take three times as long to do the laundry. We had looked at solutions online which involved venting, new valves, and other ideas which would have cost thousands of dollars... We finally called Roto-Rooter, and they not only arrived that afternoon, but understood the problem, and within one hour, had completely resolved the issue, which stemmed from clogged drain systems. Furthermore, the technician (Tim) helped us understand how to prevent future occurrences, and use their ""Drain-Shield"" additive as monthly maintenance. The final bill was in the hundreds, not thousands!! Very pleased, and would recommend both Tim and the Company to everyone. more

Curtis, the plumber from Long Island was prompt,knowledgeable,and polite He not only explained in detail everything he was going to be doing,but he was extremely patient with explaining what the problem seemed to be,as we had another company in 3 times in less than 40 days,we were understandably anxious. Curtis answered all our questions to our understanding. We called on a Sunday and he was there in a half in hour. He spent 3 hours to clear the out line to the sewer which had a major root problem. and explained what he was going to need to do and made sure we understood.Curtis went above and beyond in his customer service,he was professional,friendly and we would use no other Company after the great satisfaction we experienced with Curtis.I would personally suggest the Company,and if possible,Curtis to service as tonight is the first night we will sleep without checking on the basement,knowing we were in good hands and had total confidence in Curtis' work.I would recommend your company to anyone,they are certainly the best.Thank you,as Curtis is clearly experienced,for sending such an experienced plumber,with the customer service skills to match, more

On a chilly Friday night I went to take a nice hot shower.Unfortunately the shower turned out to be a rude awakening.I had no hot water! I called Roto-Rooter at 9:30 and spoke to a very nice lady.I told her I had no hot water and I needed someone to come to the house the next day.(I had heat,so I easn't too worried). She set me up for an appointment the next day and told me someone would call a half hour before they were at my door.I set the time for between 8-10am. At 8:30am I got a call saying the plumber(Bill) was running late on his last call and it would be about 9:30 before he came to my house. Bill was at my house at 9;30,fixed the problem,answered my questions,gave me information about updating my heating systems and was as polite as could be.I would reccommend Roto-Rooter to anyone who has a problem with heating,clogged drains,etc.It had been 2 years since I last had to call the for a backed-up drain and I'm glad I had the receipt!\r Thanks Bill-You are now my only plumber!!! more

Thank you Bill from Roto-Rooter. Helpful, knowledgable and professional. He replaced our gas pipes after it was discovered we had a leak. The previous pipes we had came with our house and were poorly installed and unsafe. We had no clue of this until the leak was discovered. We can now rest assured that we are completely safe. I was pretty sure I accidentally flushed both my Engagement ring and Wedding ring down the toilet on Saturday. I was panicking. We called the local Roto-Rooter plumber here on Long Island, and Steve was at my house within an hour. He went above and beyond to help find the rings in the pipes. He used his camera to check underground in the pipes for 2 hours! He was always professional and sympathetic towards me. He tried his best, and even though we didn't find the rings, I was so appreciative of how hard he tried. We had never used Rotor Rooter even though I remembered their commercial since childhood. After calling two local plumbers and going into their voicemail, we need a plumber as our lower level bathroom had water going onto the floor. I was truly amazed that within 20 minutes of the call to them, their serviceman arrived. he immediately put shoe covers on his shoes, went to the problem area, explained what was wrong and provided use with two estimates depending upon whether he could fix the switch in the pump or replace the entire pump. He was able to do the less costly repair, helped clean up the water and exploined what we should do in the future to minimize further problems. Had backup-service within the hour-knowledgeable/courteous/efficient-unclogged/filmed able to undestand problem and visually confirm. Same day followup with new filming and estimate to resolve future incidents.
