In the midst of a very busy day we encountered a backed up tub. We called Roto Rooter and Ron was able to fix the problem and also cleaned out the kitchen drains as well. We recently had an issue of sewage back up in our lines. Chaz and Jim were out and able to fix the problem for us in no time! The machines and camera technology is neat and leaves all questions answered and the guess work out of it. We recently had a clog in our drain system causing a nasty back up. Dale determined the clog was at the septic tank using their camera system. The tank needed to be emptied on Sunday night or my evening was going to be miserable with the ladies in my home. Dale made another call and the Roto - Rooter septic tank truck was there within an hour. David did an excellent job... in the dark.... in the mud....VERY COLD and RAINY outside.... Both Dale and David were very knowledgeable and professional and kept me informed along the way. Good to have a company that can handle the whole variety of plumbing situations. Another major domestic dispute averted !! more

We called Roto-Rooter at 1030 a.m and the dispatcher (I emphasize the dispatcher) told us they would get someone out within a half hour. An hour later we get a call from dispatch, again, saying someone would be out in an hour. A tech finally arrived at around 2:30, my day was shot.\r The tech found the obstruction and apparently only moved it to the main line which we both thought took care of the problem. Unfortunately it just relocated the clog. The next morning we called again. Once again DISPATCH told us they would be out shortly. Once again it was 3:00 before Tim (tech #1633) showed up. Unfortunately for Tim, Roto-Rooter tried to charge us a second time to fix the issue. After a lengthy discussion with a supervisor a fair compromise was agreed upon. Tim was tasked with the compromise and did the work marvelously. He spent hours working knowing that his commission was obliterated by the compromise yet he never complained and seemed genuinely concerned that we be happy with Roto-Rooter. Am I happy with Roto-Rooter I would say as a company no, but they obviously hire top quality techs because Tim did a hell of a lot of hard work and did it pleasantly and professionally. I think Roto-Rooter was saved by Tim this night. So I guess if I had to, I would recommend Roto-Rooter simply because of the techs that represent the company. Once again a case of the working man making the company look good. more

We called in the evening, and they said it would be a couple of hours for someone to get there. It wasn't five minutes later, they called and said someone was on the way, and it would be within the half hour. I ALWAYS like pleasant surprises like that.\r \r When they arrived, they quoted us a price. We were a little taken aback as it was about twice what we expected, but I wasn't in a mood to send them away so we reluctantly said okay.\r \r Well, they went right to work, making sure to spread a tarp on our floor, where shoe protectors, and took other precautions not to dirty up our house. It was a tough clog, and they worked for over an hour on it. The plumbers could have done just enough to get by, but they had the attitude of ""any job worth doing is worth doing right"".\r \r When they finally finished and put everything back together, our drain worked better than it has in years...like it is turbo-charged.\r \r They cleaned up everything.\r \r As we parted, what seemed like a high price in the beginning turned out to be a great value in the end. We are very happy with the quality of work and quality of workers.\r \r Thank you Roto-Rooter! If anyone is looking for a plumber here in Dayton to clean any drain, no matter how tough (or easy) a job it might be, look no farther than Roto-Rooter of Dayton. more

Rooto-Rooter Plumbers from Dayton:\r WE have been using Roto-Rooter for years due to roots in our sewer main. This year we noticed it starting to back up again and called to make an appointmentt. They had their tech out in an hour at night! However they couldn't get it to drain. So the next day Dale came out and scoped the main. We had cracked pipes and a large in the main. This was going to be a big job and a lot of money.Dale spent 8hrs trying to get our sewage to drain a little just to use it for the night. Dale was honest, helpful and compassionate. He had his team here early wed (before Thanksgiving) dug up our main, made some repairs and back filled it all in one day!! They even took care of all the city permits and inspections. They took very good care of us. Thanks for being great plumbers in the Dayton area!! more

One Day before Thanksgiving, we had a drainage emergency in the kitchen that could have been a catastrophe. Worried that no one would be available at such a late date before the holiday's, I called anyway. The people were very nice and offered to send someone out immediately at my convenience. Within an hour, Ron was here from the Dryden Rd Roto Rooter to save Thanksgiving. Ron was very friendly and professional, and did a very thorough and complete job. Roto-Rooter came to clean the main line out to the street. They arrived on time with the right equipment, analyzed the problem, explained what needed to be done and what they were doing. They solved the problem, cleaned the area up, and were very courteous. We would hight recommend Roto-Rooter and are our first call plumber from now on. more

I cannot say enough about the exceptional service we received from this company. From the moment I contacted the telephone representatives to the dispatchers that call ahead to the supervisors, techs, absolutely everyone provided us five star service. What started out as a back up sewer line and turned into a very costly repair in the end due to poor construction and the age of our house collapsing our plumbing, this is one experience I never want to relive. However the team at Roto Rooter was genuine, compassionate and worked their tails off to ensure we were able to get back into our home and be able to use it as quickly as possible. The concern for my family was so appreciated. Ultimately I feel liike we could've found a less expensive option, but am 100% pleased with our decision to stick with Roto Rooter. From the five year warranty (for the work we had done), to the fact that amongst the probably 6-10 workers that were at our home in two days they were all actual Roto Rooter employees and not some third party contractor, we made the best choice! My husband and I were trying to deal with water and sewage back-up in our basement for a week before I threw my hands up and called Roto-Rooter. We knew we had a mainline blockage and there is no one else to call for this type of trouble but Roto-Rooter! After receiving the estimate we called the next day for the work to be done. After too many days of water and a horrible stench I was thrilled to see the Roto-Rooter truck pull up to the front of our home. Our technician, Andre', was in uniform but he may as well have worn the cape and mask of the famed Caped Crusader - Batman! I knew he would get the job done and rescue us from the horrors of an evil mainline root blockage! Roto-Rooter Rocks! more

I moved into an older home and we've had problems with clogged drains on two tubs and a bathroom sink. love the Saturday availability, but wish that the prices were more reasonable for the amount of time it takes to clear the clog. I need to learn how to use a drain snake and save myself hundreds of dollars! more

I had a great experience with Roto-Rooter of Dayton. I had 2 toilets that needed work - one with a broken handle and another that wouldn't stop running. He informed me that the problems were caused by the original factory parts on the 10 year old toilets. He replaced the old parts and now they are running like new. If we had not called Roto-Rooter and tried to fix them ourselves, it would require a lot more work in the long run. I would definitely call them again! more

We had a very positive experience with Roto-rooter of Dayton. Having just moved into an older home a week prior, our kitchen sink was 100% clogged. We called a local plumber to come out and work on the clog. After an hour of his time, he told us we were going to have to jack hammer through our newly finished tile floors and run an entire new line b/c there was no way to get through the current lines. I was sick at the thought of having to go through the remodel again! We thought to get a 2nd opinion and called Roto-rooter of Dayton. They were able to come out within a couple hours on the same day we called them. The plumber was very professional and very friendly. He worked and worked on our clog for nearly 2 hours and was able to break through the clog! I would pay $229 again considering the professionalism, the knowledge and the success we had with their service! more
