Saved me bundles 2/20/2012

We as homeowners are trying to finish our home after the original contractor hung us out to dry and have become very frustrated with multiple plumbing subcontractors who couldn't identify the sewage outlet location on our new construction, These gentlemen came in and listened to me the first time. They brought with them the necessary equipment to diagnose and more importantly double check the location of my outlet. Previously, other contractors had brought listening equipment that they put down into the pipes and on a hunch thought they found the location and at least one secondary location. I actually cancelled the other plumbing contractor's scheduled services of bringing a jackhammer in to break up my concrete slab. I wanted to have more than an ""old man plumber's"" hunch before ripping into the concrete in a finished bedroom first and then secondarily inside our garage. After persistant Techs, John PeeVey and Jeremy Brown came in with their equipment, they were able to confirm that the lines went beyond the finished bedroom and led into the garage. I should note that they did get further into the garage than the ""old man's"" hunch would have had us going. Then to my surprise and utter delight, John and Jeremy went through another toilet line to back trace the line and was able to locate the outlet OUTSIDE the house. Thanks to their patience and dedication, I was able to save thousands by not having to rip up concrete in a wild goose chase. more

MOST EXPENSIVE IN COLUMBIA 7/13/2011

They are outrageously over-priced but mostly very disorganized, under staffed both with experienced technicians and competent office staff. MaryAnn seemed to stay confused and the technicians kept changing & missing the appointments. Rock would not call me as requested, he had to return several times and missed every scheduled appointment. Once after waiting an hour for him to show I called for status, the office said he was just leaving the office now, but when I'd spoken to him just an hour prior he was on the other side of Columbia, headed directly to me. So he instead of coming here as he stated, went to the office without bothering to tell me of the further delay and for no apparent reason. There were NO SPECIAL PARTS or EQUIPMENT required for this call-back, just inconsideration. The job costs were the most ridiculous of all. It was explained to me that the labor prices are set by the national corporation but that the parts were marked up at the technicians discretion and since they are commission based, the parts are marked up over twice what they are when purchased at Lowes or local parts stores. Last the owners seem very quick to get hostile and do not listen or take customer complaints seriously. They assume I want something for nothing when I have paid HUNDREDS of dollars for services that need constant follow-up, as each time a new part is added with a marked up cost. They do tell me that if its a call-back issue there is thankfully 'no charge' but there are still always additional parts. Most importantly, every single time they don't finish, I must take time off work and miss pay! So they cost me salary & continue to find things to overcharge me for. Overall the are over priced, unprofessional & unorganized. Non-Corporate plumbing companies are cheaper and don't overcharge to balance out high franchise fees. more
