Worst

I thought the price was way to high. How do you go from a $99 special to a total charge of $288.93? And they charge $49 just to come out and look?? They should adjust their prices...

Roto-Rooter cleans drains and does plumbing in Detroit area. 2/20/2012

February 20, 2012\r Roto-Rooter was out to my home today and they were efficient and thorough with the job that needed to be done. This job was to repair a water leak. I wasn't aware that Roto-Rooter had such a vast complement of plumbers in the Detroit area. I guess I always associated Roto-Rooter with drain cleaning and not plumber work. This was a pleasant surprise for them to do the work both well and cost effectively. more

roto-rooter = a big thumbs down 2/18/2012

Erik F. came out and replaced our stationary tub & trap. That all was well, what wasn't was the mess that was left on the basement floor. For a company that promotes ""maid-like cleanup"" this was far from it. We weren't expecting perfection but there was a cement trail all the way up the stairs and a disgusting film left all in fron of the laundry area. Would never recommend.\r Will be looking for a different plumber in the Detroit area the next time an issue arises! more

Aaron #377 at Roto-Rooter 2/18/2012

Aaron came to our house today because we had a back-up in the drain of our basement whenever any water was running (shower, bath, etc) for over 10 minutes. My husband is very handy and tried all the tricks of the trade to get the blockage out himself, but it was too far from to drain to locate it. Aaron was extremely courteous, quick, and helpful! He located the problem within minutes and even waived the video fee for us. He cleared the clog quickly and even showed us the water running out of the water main to the street as how it should always look. He showed us how the drains were inter-connected and what he found on the video of our pipes. We could not have asked for better service from Aaaon and Roto-Rooter. If any other problems should occur, we will contact Roto-Rooter and ask specifically for Aaron. We can't thank you enough, Aaron! more

Our service technician was very efficient and knowledgeable, giving all information needed including future prevention. We will definitely use them again! This was for invoice 44824. more

WOW what a pleasant experience with my Detroit Plumber! My shower is up and running with HOT water again from Aaron who did an amazing job explaining what was going on at all times and was very courteous and professional. Good service, not so good price 2/2/2012

My toilet backed up, and after plunging for a while, the nasty water decided to back up into our tub. We called Roto Rooter, and they were able to come in the morning. Eric F, technician #363, was very nice and did a thorough job, replacing the cast iron stack, snaking it, then using the video camera to make sure there weren't any other issues. As other reviews have mentioned, it was pricey, but overall I was pleased with the service. more

I knew I needed a new laundry tub, but wasn't aware that my hot water heater was 15 years old. Do I wait for water to be all over my basement...not fun. They replaced my laundry tub and supplied a new water heater for me. It was helpful for me that I didn't have to go shop for these items and then have them installed. They had them readily available, with warrenty protection. The two men who did my work were very professional, one being an experienced plumber. Will be calling Roto-Rooter for future jobs! more

Hi, I just wanted to tell you my service man, Bob Van, did a great job when he came out to my house last week. I had some major plumbing issues, but Bob stayed for seven hours and didn't leave until all my problems were fixed. He was extremely patient, and provided plenty of details about what was going on. Bob was very thorough and worked his butt off--definitely impressed my wife and I. Thanks again, I can't even describe how much we appreciate the effort and results. more

Problems fixed quickly 1/22/2012

We live south of Detroit and needed a plumber due to some major sewer gas and a backed up floor drain. Within four hours of making the call, our problem was fixed. Mike K. was great - he asked questions, was really informative about the problem and was friendly and polite. The price was a lot higher than I expected, but when your basement smells like ours did, I guess you can't quibble about that if it's taken care of fast. I would definitely use them again. more
