Up until today, I would take my mother 5/29/2012

Up until today, I would take my mother to this restaurant 2-3 per week. We would generally go for breakfast. Every now and then the omelettes and scrambled eggs would be brown and rubbery. If that constitutes burned or not, I don't know, but what I do know is, it is unacceptable. Today, the omellete was a very dark brown on the inside where it folds but the rest was ""ok"". Thankfully my mother's eggs were fine. I decided to eat the omelette and just leave the brown portion on the plate. I told the waitress ""if this continues I will take a picture and post it to Urbanspoon and other sites like it"". The waitress was very nice and said she would tell her boss. The owner of Rosie's came over and instead of saying ""I'm sorry, we'll make sure your eggs are right from now on"". Noooo, this idiot had to argue with me. I told him ""WE WILL NOT be coming back to this restaurant or his other restaurant ""Apple Creek"", which also is in Aurora. He then said ""don't ever come back"". Geez. I just told him we were never coming back to this restaurant. One other thing this restaurant and Apple Creek does is they will sometimes cook scrambled eggs on the grill in a little pile. The eggs will be brown and rubbery on the bottom side and runny and under cooked on the top side. That's just plain lazy. Mistakes will happen. You apologize and you do your best to make sure it does not happen again. You don't act like this restaurant owner. By the way, I am not complaining that the cheese on my omelette was brown, that's typical. It is/was eggs each time. How do you even serve burned or brown scrambled eggs when you see it. Ohh, I can answer that. The owner tells them too. I wish I took a picture of todays omelette. Two decent restaurants for breakfast in the Denver area are: The Egg &I Sam's # 3 more

Best cheap breakfast in Aurora. 8/22/2008

While you may not be able to get hoity toytie lemon blueberry pancakes, you will be able to get a great tradional American breakfast. I enjoy the handyman build your own option that gets you hashbrowns, two eggs, and your choice of bread item (pancakes, French toast, or toast) for $4. Want some meat? $2 more. Want some country fried steak or chicken? Under $3 to add, though I don?t suggest it. It seemed frozen out of a box and flash fried to order (the chicken, I haven?t had the steak). I usually get some sausage to go with mine, which still keeps it under $6 before tax. \r \r Service is excellent. They bring you a carafe of coffee rather than coming around to ?warm up your cup? which I don?t like because it throws off the balance of my non-black coffee. The food service is quick, though I have had to wait for my French toast after I got everything else. I actually don?t mind this because about the time I am ready to dive into them, they are served piping hot, rather than having time to cool on the table. Total personal preference here. \r \r I still want to try the eggs benedict, and maybe some of the lunch or dinner items since I?ve only come in for breakfast. \r \r Rosie?s is a great little American diner. Pros: Fast service, cheap eats Cons: Some items look and feel as if they came out of a box. more

Good food, friendly service 12/1/2007

My husband and I have been there more than 3 times. As soon as we walk into the restaurant, someone greet us quickly. I only had burgers there so far, but they are always fresh and good. Fries are also fresh and crispy. I am pleased with their service as well. This is definitely a good place for good old american style food.\r more
