Rosewood Family Dentistry: Joseph Johnson, DDS

We go to Rosewood Dental for all of our family dental needs. From day one they have made us feel like family. I don't normally write reviews, but when I came across the review from GrantsvilleMan I felt I had to take the time to share my opinion. When we started going to Dr. Rockwell (father) and Dr. Landon (son) we also paid in cash. They were always very forth right and honest about every transaction. They always let us know upfront how much everything would cost and I KNOW that they have discounted work done considerably BECAUSE they knew we needed help. Now that we have dental insurance, they still take time to explain everything going on not only financially but physically. more

My wife took my son here for treatment and payed cash. The office did a hard inquiry on my credit without my permission. When I called to ask why they did a hard inquiry on my credit I was told that was policy for anyone that comes into the office no matter if they pay cash or not. I was also told that they would make no attempt to have this inquiry removed from my credit report. My wife never gave my social security number to the office so I'm not sure how they attained it. My wife also said that she was not told that there would be hard inquiry on my credit and not hers. I believe the only reason an office would do this type of credit search on a cash transaction is to determine income and raise their price accordingly. The dentist is one of my least favorite places to go but this is by far the best office I have visited. The staff is very friendly and considerate of my time. They don't just leave me sitting back there waiting for the dentist but give me updates on when I can expect him on the super busy days and ask me if I need a magazine. You can also watch TV or a movie while you wait or have your procedure completed since the TV screen is in the ceiling and they give you earphones. This makes the dentist much more pleasant. Aside from the office comfort, Dr. Rockwell does great work. I have never had a problem with any procedure he has completed and I have been seeing him for almost 10 years now.
