So I ordered the item listed below. From their menu, on 09/27/08. This is a cut and paste from their on-line menu, that matches the store menu.\r

The sandwich was presented at the table by the food expediter, who wasn't sure what the sandwich was, rather than by the bartender who took our order, no big deal, serve it hot, serve it fresh, I get that. I took a bite, and noticed that it did not have tomato as indicated by the menu (and the main reason I ordered the sandwich). So I flagged down the expediter (No bartender to be found) and asked about the tomatoes, he said, ""Oh of course, let me take care of that"" and took the plate back to the kitchen. The elusive bartender then returned with the ""new"" sandwich and told me, ""next time order it with tomatoes if that is how you want it"", WTF? It's on the menu!!! I have to order the item, and ingredients included? I mentioned this to the manager on the way out, and his response was ""really""? as he walked away towards the bar.........sad.\r

I won't be back! I have been a Roses fan since moving to Oregon in 1985. I've been saddened by the shut-down of the original NW 23rd store, with the counter, the piano bar and the waitresses who could have been my grand ma ma, and excited by the reopening of even the mall shop in Washington Square. \r
\r
You have lost a loyal customer, and trust me; I will spread the news, this is not the place to eat. \r
\r
Farwell Roses, may you rest in peace.\r

Cons: Wait staff is arrogant and ignorant, what a great combination.
