I am so thrilled. Everything is beyond anything I could have asked. I was very, very frightened to have back surgery. Where I came from the doctor there, which I had gone to for more than five years who was a spinal specialist, talked about removing part of the vertebras and putting steel rods in my back and that was one of the first things I asked Dr. Rosen. After he had looked at the films, I asked him if he would have to put steel rods in my back and he said no. He said I did not have enough bone mass to put rods in … I feel like here God intervened and brought me to someone who did different surgery all together than what they had talked about. I would rate him as high a number as I could give him, I couldn't count that high. more

He just doesn't stand there the whole time. He helped me up on the examination table and he pulled over the stool and sat down. He has a sense of humor. He was very good about explaining things. There was great communication in his surgical wing where he can bring up on the computer pictures that were done down in x-ray and so forth. They are all together on my chart and he can bring any part of it up and he has my past surgeries to compare and my past problems to compare right there in front of us. He went through all of it and pulled up all the screens and showed us everything that we needed to know. It did make things easier to understand.\r \r I always come across people and I give one of his cards to them or take in an article we have about him that was in the paper and let them read it. Dr. Rosen, was very professional… and straightforward with his diagnosis. I had a micro-laminectomy where he removed a little piece of the lamina so he could have access to the L4-L5 cavity. I have had this problem for about 15 or 20 years (with my sciatic nerve) and I have been to three other surgeons who their fix was they wanted to cut me open and fuse discs and remove discs and do all kinds of mean and nasty things to me and I just told them to go pound sand. Dr. Rosen explained what the procedure would help me with and what it would not help me with. He explained the recovery and how much time it would take. I was very comfortable with his explanation of the procedure and everything. He did a very good job with that and pretty much he nailed my problem. He fixed it and it was as he said it would be. more
