I've always loved Britannia Arms, but it got nothing on Rose & Crown. This is the best pub in the entire Bay Area. It has the best selection of beer on tap with some of the best pub food. The service is amazing but the regulars are what makes the Rose & Crown a weekend plan. more

Best pub in Palo Alto 12/5/2008

Palo Alto isn't really a big drinking town, but the Rose & Crown, tucked away in a corner just off University is a great little haven for those that like a great pint or two. Outdoor seating and free wifi, plus a hand-pumped ale is sometimes available for a nice change-up. Pros: Great selection of European beers Cons: Sometimes crowded more
