Rose City Marble & Tile

I was happy with their service until it came time to deal with an install issue. Apparently they don't make mistakes. I had granite installed in my bathroom. It looks nice but the plan was off. The faucets were set too far back to be fully functional. i asked for them to pay to replace them with a style that would work. They didn't care enough to, apparently it wasn't their problem, even though they had everything they needed on site to make it work right in the beginning. I won't be back. I had granite countertops installed today and I could not be happier with the entire experience. From the minute I walked into their lobby until today when the final product arrived they were courteous, helpful, trustworthy, fair, and did a wonderful job. They installed my countertops so I only have one seam and it is flawless! I am very very picky, I try not to be but I do tend to notice even the smallest blemishes so I was very worried about having a seam but they did an absolute wonderful job! I was on this site and noticed the bad review of this company. Now I am not sure if you are talking about the same company but I had Rose City Marble Granite & Tile do a complete kitchen remodel for me and it was one of the best contruction experiences I have ever had. They did the work in a fashion that had no interuption in my daily routine. They did all the measure and template over my existing materials. When they returned they did the demo work and the install all in one day. When I left for work in the morning they had started and when I returned home that evening I had new countertops. I was so pleased with the job that I gave the installers a large tip for the great job they did. I dealt with a wonderful gentlemen named Daniel and he walked me through the entire process. I was invited to there shop to reiview my material and layout before they did the work. When we are ready to do our bathroom we will for sure be calling RCMGT. I received the recommendation to use Rose City Tile from a trusted business associate. We hired Rose City to install marble tile in our master bath and to install a granite slab in our kitchen. This is not the first time we've had granite put into a kitchen, so we knew what to expect. What a surprise! The first slab they brought was cut wrong (wrong template used for the sink). They returned with a second slab (now of course not matching the dye lot from the first) and installed it, but they had significant trouble getting the two pieces of granite to seam properly. So, being clever installers that they are, they just pasted in some bondo-like substance and left. It is THE WORST seam I have ever seen in a granite slab. Also, the edges look like they were cut with a dull blade so they are all ragged. When I called the company to see if they could come out and fix the seam, THEY NEVER RESPONDED. (call to Rebecca at RCT). I would never recommend this firm to anyone. There is no pride in quality of workmanship. Hopefully with the downturn in the economy, firms like this one will either learn to do a better job and provide quality service, OR decide to ply another trade.
