The California pasta was amazing, I loved the taste of the artichoke hearts and other ingredients mixed well together. I had this dish on my 5th year wedding anniversary. Very tasty. My wife had the Filet Minon and she says it was ""Perfect"", the only thing that was a bit different, but still decent was the breaded-fried artichoke hearts appetizer we purchased, it was... good and different, but sadly it conflicted with the tastes of our two meals, other than that I had no complaints, our food was delivered by Cafe runner which was there in under an hour with the food still hot! more

Rosa's Italian Restaurant is great for dinner 1/2/2010

Though it has been awhile since I lived in the area, Rosa's was always a wonderful restaurant to visit. Terrific food! more

Rosa's Italian Restaurant is racist. 12/8/2009

The food is great, but the service is terrible and the way they treat customers is even worse! Who cares about the remodel when the owner does not seat you for ONE FULL HOUR because you are not caucasian? People who did not have a reservation were seated before a family of a different race who had been waiting for an hour. I asked them. Do I think they are racist? Yes. Do you want to patronize an establishment that believes that people of a different race are not worth the money they pay for food service? Shame shame shame on you Rosa's and shame on all who support this type of behavior. I thought racism was only real in history books or deep in the montana wilderness... but racism is alive and well in Pismo Beach. more

My friend and I were visiting the area from out of state, and had dinner here one night. I really enjoyed the food, it was very good, however the staff could learn to be a little more personable and up the energy. Pros: tasty dinner Cons: needs more attitude! more

Excellent food & great remodel 1/7/2009

We have been to Rosa's several times in the past, but were not prepared for the beautiful remodeling job they did before our last visit on New Year's Eve. They did a great job with the new layout, furnishings, and decor. The food was great as always - I had an excellent filet mignon & the wine selections were also very nice. Also, the service was outstanding. Go to Rosa's for a special evening. Also, they have a new, fun-looking bar area - bonus! more

Rosa's is a great place to go for a nice, formal Italian meal. The atmosphere is pleasant, the food is very good, and the service is impeccable. Our meal was pricey but about what you'd expect for this level of food and service. more

Rosa's has really good food and their prices are much less than what you would expect to pay for this type of food. It is a very pretty restaurant with a nice candlelit atmosphere - very romantic. Their bread that they serve with the meal is very good. The waiters are always very attentive and courteous. To be honest, there is nothing bad that I can say about this restaurant. My husband and I thoroughly enjoy a meal out at Rosa's. more

overhyped mediocre place 9/4/2006

after reading the rave reviews, we visited Rosa's over the weekend and it was a disappointing experience. The service was horrible, we had to wait for our drinks for more than 20 minutes (and remind the waitress that we didn't get our drinks) and the entrees for over 45 minutes. My friend had ordered pizza and she was served cold pizza. The other items we ordered were mediocre at best. Pros: Ambience (some parts of the restaurant) Cons: Service, Food more

wonderful and sumptuous entrees - have to agree with the other review about the rack of lamb. by far the best lamb I have had so far (and i order this at every restaurant i go to)!. service was wonderful - my date and i ended up staying after closing hours, but the servers did not hurry us out the door - unlike a lot of other places out there! overall - great food, great service - would not hesitate to visit again! well worth the 4 hour drive! more

Best rack of lamb on Central Coast Bar None! 8/26/2005

A great place to drop $100 (but I guess you could get by on $60?) on a special night out with the Mrs. If you know what 's good for you make reservations and get the rack of lamb...its unreal. We always bring our own wines and corkage is $12, nice staff elegant front dining room. Try the scallop appetizer and enjoy they bread...what's with the hard butter?? Rosa's is a winner 2/4/2005

Rosa's is a great family owned restaurant with an old world Italian charm. Mama Rosa's smiling face is a pleasure to see when you walk through the doors and the food is wonderful. One thing is you can count on the food being consistently prepared. They have great nightly specials especially Wednesday nights Cioppino....yummy. The service is always friendly and professional. I suggest taking a seat on the heated patio and enjoy the fine wines and wonderful food underneath the stars. I love Rosa's! It's much better than Guiseppes with better selection of entrees and better prices. Has more traditional Italian food, with something for everyone (I'm a picky eater). I agree with the previous comment on the decor, but the food is really great. Pros: Good Value, Great Food more

Best Italian in South County 3/30/2004

Rosa's has somewhat dated decor but the food is homey, tasty and substantial. Giuseppe's may be hipper, but Rosa's has better food. Don't miss the chicken piccata. Pros: Good parking, Friendly staff more
