As a competitive triathlete and black belt martial artist in Tae Kwon Do for over 10 years, a sharp pain suddenly sidelined me in my right hip. The pain was so severe; I was physically unable to do the exercises I so much enjoyed. In fact, I could barely walk. For over 4 years, I sought help through an acupuncturist, a deep tissue masseuse, yoga, and a friend that was a chiropractor. Nothing helped. I had accepted that I would never run or do martial arts again, and that I would most likely live with pain.
