Best BBQ Ever Tasted 10/23/2006

This is BBQ done right. The meat falls off the bone and melts in your mouth. Buying shrimp in a BBQ joint? Don't be afraid this the most tasty morsels that I have ever placed in my mouth. If your looking for atmosphere this ain't it. Plenty of good conversation with the help. They are worth the trip from anywhere. Pros: Love it all. Meat is tender. Seafood is good. more

Roper's has the Biggest Rib Tip in Saint Louis, and the best ribs. Great carry-out. Convient location, minutes away from the new Northland Shopping Center. Pros: Near Northland, best BBQ in town more

Best BBQ & Best Seafood 8/20/2006

I have been eating at Roper's for years and it always amazes me. The Jumbo fried shimp & all of their fish is hand breaded & cooked to order. Back in the day I used to eat Sara Lous shrimp all the time. After they closed, I thought I would never find anything better till I tased Roper's Shrimp. I am not joking when I say these are the BEST SHRIMP I HAVE EVER TASTED! Pros: excellent prices & high quality Cons: small dining area more

Roper's Baby Back and St.Louis style ribs are seasoned and smoked like none other in the nation. Pricing is inexpensive, while the quality couldn't be any better. Roper's fried Jumbo shrimp is just as high quality as the ribs themselves! The RIB N' SHRIMP COMBO is an absolute must purchase; it's the best combination in St.Louis. Pros: The Ropers are hardworking people that do a lot for St.Louis, the food is cooked with extreme preparation, best BBQ sauce in St.Louis Cons: Small dine-in space, but is the best take-out joint in St.Louis. more

Roper's Rules!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 7/10/2006

I first became aquainted with Roper's when they opened a location in Florissant. My wife and I tried it and were we pleasantly suprised. I have had barbeque in Memphis, Kansas City, and throughout the southern United States. I can say without hesitation that Roper's pulled pork is the absolute best that I have ever eaten. My wife loves there ribs as well. If you try Roper's, you will never be satisfied with any other barbeque again! Pros: Pulled Pork is the absolute best! Cons: I don't have their recipes. more

This little place on the corner of Jennings Sta. & W. Florissant is amazing. Even thought I live a good distance away, I make it a point to visit Roper's Ribs at least every month. No other Q in St. Louis compares. Even if your not looking for Q, they have delicious fish, fried chicken, and hot wings, and hamburgers. Pros: tender meat, variety Cons: one location more

I love this place. I was suprised to find out they have been around for awhile. I believe about 13 years. They are very friendly and have a wonderful qualiety product. If you want some real bbq, I would suggest giving them a try. Pros: Huge Shrimp, Great Prices more

good bar-b-que, family oriented, very good prices, rack of St. Loius style ribs was excellent as was BBQ chicken. Pros: inexpensive, large parking lot, no crowds more
