Just because you get a quote for say $5000 from one contractor and a quote for $7500 for an apples to apples quote, doesn’t mean that one is better or worse than the other. If you get a roof price quote by a company with hundreds of employees expect to pay more versus a quote from a smaller operator with only 20 employees. Roof Pro will be in the latter category. 5. Check the BBB and the Secretary of State websites. If a company does not show up on the BBB or the SOS site there is a good chance you are dealing with a storm chaser. Storm chasers don’t want to be traced so that when the roof they installed has issues they can’t be tracked. more

4. Look at their license plate on their vehicle. If you see out of state tags you should ask lots of questions as to why they are out of state. Maybe they just moved here or maybe they’re on a temporary stop till the next storm hits another part of the country. more

3. They use high pressure to get you to sign a blank contract. They want you to sign a roof contract that has a blank dollar amount. You have a right to know how much the insurance is going to pay. Get all promises in writing. more

2. Their warranty is the standard manufacturer’s warranty.An established Colorado roofer will also offer a labor warranty for workmanship. Depending on the company it’s usually 2-5 years or more. more

In 2009 hail caused nearly one billion dollars worth of property damage, much of that damage was done to roofs. Unfortunately the Denver area was also invaded by storm chasers. (storm chasers are roofers who literally chase catastrophic storms all over the U.S.) Storm chasers come into a heavily damaged area to make a fast buck, then they leave. more
