Best

I had the pleasure of dining at Romano's Macaroni Grill recently and I can honestly say it was one of the best meals I've had in a restaurant in a long time. The food was fantast...

The food only remotely resembles Italian. Service was speedy, but the appetizers were cold and tasteless which made it seem that they've been sitting out a while. The calzone lo...

Great Bread, But Why Are They So Stingy With The Balsamic? 4/30/2009

We both love their piping fresh, hot bread, it's delightfully crispy outside and yummily soft inside. The olive oil and balsamic vinegar was a classic and delicious dip for the bread. YUM! The Caesar salad was so-so; all right, it was edible...but not really that good. The romaine was fresh and so were the croutons, but the Caesar dressing was pretty tasteless. Spaghetti and meatballs...yum! The spaghetti was al dente (thank you, Macaroni Grill), the sauce was good and the 3 giant meatballs were tender and not overcooked (thank you again, Macaroni Grill). We had an abundance of freshly grated Parmesan cheese sprinkled over our plates at the table, which just made everything yummier! The smothered chocolate cake was okay. The sauce they call ""chocolate ganache"" was the best part because the cake alone was a bit dry and bland. The ""nuts"" sprinkled over the ganache topping were more like ""crumbs"" they were so small, and no crunch whatsoever. The three dollops of cream were a nice accompaniment to neutralize the sweetness of the cake and ganache. What I really love here is their Brick Oven Pizza...the Pizza Margherita...mmm! I also like their Shrimp Portofino which has mushrooms, pine nuts and spinach in a light lemon butter sauce. DH's favorite is the Penne Rustica, but for me it's a little on the salty side so when I order it, I pass him all the prosciutto. :) Pros: Bread...but only when it's served piping hot and fresh! Cons: They leave the olive oil on the table, but not the balsamic? more

Decent Food 12/4/2006

Yummie! I was afraid to go here because of the name to be honest. They sounded like an Italian version of McDonald's or something. I expected them to ask me what flavor of cheese I wanted on my Macaroni. I couldn't have been more wrong. I had the Italian Sausage Cannelloni, it was a bit heavy but Cannelloni is supposed to be so that's fine. I really liked it a lot. The atmosphere was decent, and they sat us right next to the fireplace which was very pleasing. I can see how if it were busy it would be very loud though. The walls are stone and the floors are a hard uncarpeted surface. There did not appear to be booths only tables which adds to the ambiance I guess but does not help cut down on noise. We will definitely return. Pros: Visually Pleasing, Interesting menu Cons: Has the potential to be VERY loud more

Italian?! Oh, please 11/7/2002

The food only remotely resembles Italian. Service was speedy, but the appetizers were cold and tasteless which made it seem that they've been sitting out a while. The calzone looks and tastes more like a quesadilla and the pastas are dull and flavorless. It's like generic food made to please bland, unadventurous palates. more

nice restaurant 9/3/2002

The service, food, and prices are great. You will definitely get value for what you pay for. The staff at this location are very courteous. I highly recommend the tiramisu for dessert. more
