Editorial review from Citysearch 9/30/2013

Rocky Mountain Guns and Ammo is a great shop! I've purchased several firearms here and most importantly I've taken a couple safety courses here. The staff are always friendly and helpful at the shop and Brandon is a great instructor and will take the time to give personal instruction. There's nothing about this shop, the staff or the owner not to like. Stop in and see for yourself! more

I have no idea why anyone in their 4/6/2012

I have no idea why anyone in their right mind would think these people are knowledgable. My husband and I walked in and after waiting for the employees to finish their conversation, we were finally helped. My husband asked if they had a specific Colt pistol, and the mall ninja behind the counter spouted some nonsense about how he knew that gun and could special order it from Colt, but it would take 6 months because Colt is so behind in production. The gun my husband was asking about has been out of production for over 10 years. When I called him out on his stupidity he just looked at me. My husband then asked him about the Colt Government in 22LR that we had seen running rampant at the previous Tanner Gun show. The stupid guy behind the counter then went on another tangent about how hard they were to find and how you'll be hard pressed to even find a magazine for that they're so hard to find. Last but not least they happened to have a Beretta that I own for sale, and were asking about $100 over retail. Over priced, rude, and as far from knowledgable as you can get. more

Don't waste your time here. 10/2/2011

I went in to have two rifles repaired and see if they had a S&W .45. Perhaps because there are only two gun shops in town that I know of, they can get away with this: The store has at least 3 customers at the case waiting for service plus others milling about. 3 employees are ignoring the customers discussing lethal pinky strikes to crush the trachea + other Hollywood nonsense. After 10 minutes of standing there, I said to the other people (whom I don't know), let's go. Please, never give this store your business. It's the only way arrogant people might learn. - Although, they'll probably blame a tsunami when their business declines. more

Best Around, No one will let you down 6/13/2011

I haven?t been to many gun stores mainly because I only need to go to one. Rocky Mountain Guns and Ammo have treated me so well in my life that I refuse to go anywhere else. Brandon?s knowledge of firearms is staggering, the store manager Jake is right on par with him and the Staff of people behind the counter is so honest if they don?t know the answer their not going to blow smoke up your ass, and they will find the answer for you promptly. These guys are honest, efficient, caring and just generally nice people. It?s the kind of place where they remember you every time you walk in and welcome you. I will never go anywhere else for my firearms needs, be it tactical gear or just firearms fun this is the place you need to go. more

Not overly impressed with the service 3/6/2011

Last year, I went in to get a scope mounted. I was told they couldn't do it that day which was perfectly fine since I didn't expect them to be able to do it that quickly. The employee told me that they could do it the next business day. I was fine with that. They told me to leave it with them without logging it in or even offering me any sort of receipt or work ticket. I asked for some documentation that they had my rifle/scope and got a handwritten piece of paper. more

Outstanding Business 8/27/2010

I read the reviews and couldn't resist to throw in my two cents. This is the best family run Gun Store I have visited. Their pricing is competitive and the service is second to none. I have never been ""gouged"" on any item and frankly find the folks their knowledgeable and friendly. There is always laughter and serious conversations about proper guns, usage and training. Brandon really know his stuff. One more comment...their pricing is lower than the big box houses. I don't know how they do that but it works for me. I have never walked into RMGA that I haven't been greated openly and friendly. This is a one of a kind Gun Store that you need to visit. more

hit or miss 4/28/2010

For the items that I am shopping for I have not found them to be competative. But, I have made several transactions for convenience. For my expereince about a year ago for magpul I would use the word gouge when referring to %100 markup over the backorder brownells price. Pros: Close to home Cons: Service and price are not predictable more

Best Little Gunshop in Colorado! 2/16/2010

The Bakers, Brandon, Mike and Sheri, are wonderful folks. All are extremely knowledgeable about firearms, ammo and self defense training, and they treat everyone the same...like dear friends. Pros: Most Knowledgeable Gun Pros anywhere in the Denver area. Cons: Nothing comes to mind - store may be crowded at times. more

Lots of terrible help 12/12/2009

The help at this store is rude, arrogant and didnt evidently want any of my business the 4 different times I have been there.. Sorry Brandon- I really tried to buy my guns there, evidently my money wasnt green enough for you (or your help I should say). Bought my Mossberg, Glock and Taurus elsewhere. Bass pro shop and Big 5 down the street were not only happy to take my money, they were helpful and NOT condescending in the least. Pros: Brandon is very nice, great knowledge. Cons: However- all his help sucks. Whatta bunch of Jerks!!! more

Best Little gun store in Colorado 11/21/2008

Since the new onwership of Brandon Baker and family, this gun store has become just what Im looking for. Friendly staff, expert knowlede and great prices. I have been to all the other local gun stores in Denver Colorado and their expert advice and prices CAN'T be beat! I would recommend this store to anyone. Even if they are out of state! This family owned business will take care of you! more

Great gun shop 11/5/2008

It is great to know that I have the best gun shop available right here in Parker. Rocky Mtn. Guns and Ammo can help you choose the perfect weapon or ammo to suit your needs at an unbeatable price. This is also a fun store to visit because of the welcoming and helpful staff. I've never encountered a rude person here or felt that I didn't get the best deal possible. This is the only gun shop I need since they are capable of and more than happy to order in whatever I need if they don't have it on hand. Pros: Helpful staff, convenient, great prices more

Great Customer Service 10/27/2008

Since the new ownership has taken over Brandon Baker and family have created a wonderful atmosphere and great customer service. All the employees are very very very knowledgeable and if they aren't sure then they are quick to find out. Overall their prices are good compared to many other shops. The atmosphere is great and always energetic. What a turn around. Would recommend to anyone. more

Sales help rude, prices high, selection thin 10/2/2008

Have shopped here over the last few years. Ownership has changed and some of the hired help is truly aweful. Rude, impatient, and lacking in customer service. more
