The following review is my interpretation as a tenant for almost a year. My home at Rockwood Manor Apartments has been less than great. I have developed mixed feeling for this place especially in the past two months. The remainder of this review will address pertinent items I've noted for this location. The grounds here are somewhat well kept. Things are well decorated and there is a nice seasonal tone throughout the year. There are problems however with grass clipping not being cleaned off pathways for days. In the winter, cars are snowed in by amateur plowing. Sometimes the occasional tenant will take snow blocking their car and place it in front of yours which is very courteous. For the most part people keep to themselves, which is not a bad thing. Many tenants will say hello in passing and some others are even willing to chat for a while. I've never had anyone act or speak in a rude manor. The carpeting is not stain resistant. Not sure why they would say on their web site that the carpet is protected. I have several stains that I have attempted to cleanup that are impossible. Also, I have noticed in passing that some apartments are in better condition than others; i.e. hardwood floors, newer appliance, better cabinetry and wood work. My last item is that the maintenance department here is terrible. Be prepared for several trips to resolve issues not to mention being automatically treated like a moron the moment you call with a problem. Do not expect to get treated with any decency when contacting the repair people at these grounds. To summarize, if you are looking for a reasonable priced apartment with many inclusions, and can deal with the bologna at is the place than maybe it is for you. Some positive changes could really help bring things up. Unfortunately I am starting to think more and more that this place may not be for me.
Pros: The grounds are beautiful and things are decorated to be seasonal. The people are very nice.
Cons: Maintenance is terrible. Don't count on getting things fixed first hand. Ceilings are thin.
