I agree with nitajean. Dr. McNeil is a good vet, but Dr. Wiewel couldn't figure out what was wrong with our dog either. We took her to the Emergency Vet Hospital on Memorial & found that she had mega-esophagus & a tumor in her liver. We lost our beloved dog 18 Aug 2011. I'm in the process of trying to find another vet, as I can't bear to subject my other dog to the lacks care this vet provides! more

Staff is rude to pets and people 8/11/2011

The women of Rockwell Pet Clinic are rude to pets and people. I'm not sure they even like animals. We were treated rudely one too many times. No more, Dr. McNeill, no more! more

never again 8/17/2010

I really like Dr. McNeil and he's very caring. However, that being said---the other vets there are questionable at best. Told me nothing was wrong with my sweet Lab, sent me home with a couple of pain pills. Took her to another vet and found out she had a tumor on her spine. My daughter took her dog to Rockwell when the dog had refused to eat for three days. The lady vet said the dog had ""doggy flu."" Took her to another vet and found out the dog had swallowed a sock and her bowels were impacted. This required surgery--which if it had been put off another day, the dog would have died. Now I refuse to take my dogs to Rockwell Pet Clinic for just their yearly shots. Too scary. more

Great service, location and kind staff 8/27/2008

I would never consider another vet in the metro area. Dr. McNeil is very kind, considerate and puts both my chihuahua and myself at ease during appointments. She (my dog) suffers from seizures and he has always been very eager to explain diagnosis and treatment in great detail. Two thumbs up and 2 dewclaws up! Pros: Very kind and gentle with my pet. more

Great vets! 3/21/2007

We recently had to put down our cat who was 15 years old. Dr. McNeil showed great empathy and was with us during the entire process. We have two other cats that he is treating and does just a superb job. We especially like the tech named Sherri who is always so helpful when we go for a visit. Dr. Goddard has joined the practice and we love her too! Pros: Great service and knowledgeable staff! Cons: Lots of people go here and it has a small waiting area; might need to expand. more

Great Veterinarian 2/9/2007

I have been using Dr. Wiewel for well over 15 years now. She knew what was wrong with our dog long before other veterarians and animal specialist. She has only seemed concerned for our pets and knows that our pets are like our children. I have always felt confident in her abilities and know that my animals are well cared for in her presence. I would highly recommend Dr. Wiewel and Rockwell Pet Clinic to anyone. The other Dr's and staff are always pleasant and willing to help. Pros: The staff and Dr's know how important our animals are to us. Cons: The parking lot is difficult to get in and out of. more

CAUSED SEIZURES 11/13/2006

MY CAT WAS PERFECTLY HEALTHY AND I TOOK FOR YEARLY CHECK UP.... AFTERWARDS CAT ALMOST DIES GOING INTO LIFE THREATNING CONVULSIONS! THIS WAS FEB 2006! IT IS NOW NOV 2006 AND CAT IS STILL HAVING SEIZURES! .. SHE NEVER HAD A SEIZURE UNTIL VISIT! I AM VERY ANGRY! NOW I HAVE TO KEEP CAT ON PHENOBARBITAL AND BLOODWORK IS VERY COSTY! THIS HAS STRESSED ME OUT AND IT'S HEARTBREAKING! I COULDN'T BELIEVE IT BUT WHEN I TOOK CAT FOR BLOODWORK AT ANOTHER VET ... THIS CUSTOMER TOLD ME ABOUT A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE WITH ROCKWELL PET CLINIC ALSO ... SHE TOO ALMOST LOST HER CAT...SHE COULDN'T BELIEVE THEY WERE STILL IN BUISINESS! Cons: NOT RECOMMENDED! more
