RUDE, RUDE AND VERY BAD EXPERIENCE AGAIN 12/15/2011

My 1st trip i wanted them to true my $1100 SRAM wheels. Came back with a slight wobble but most importantly I had some special decals from England that took me 5 weeks to get and I paid $80 for. There was a large tear the size of a dime on one of the decals when I got them back. When I complained about it all the tech did was argue with me insisting it must have been something I did. Just Plain Rude. I had to purchase again out of my own pocket at it took another 5 weeks to get them. My 2nd trip I purchased a new frame and wanted them to run a tap thru the bottom bracket to clear the paint overspray. Got it back and noticed that there were 2 black spacers in them that my other road bikes did not have. I called them and asked what those spacers were for and they said they were for a mountain bike. I asked them why did you put mountain bike spacers this bike when it is a road bike. They said just take them off. I said what? This was the only reason why I brought it in and paid you for. I wound up doing it myself because I did not want to put them out any. 3rd and final was today. I purchased a SRAM Force Groupset. This was the 12th bike I have put together from the ground up. The right shifter when I started trimming it had 2 plastic and 1 metal piece fall out of it. I called Rockwall Cycling to get an RA number so I could send it back to SRAM and get it fixed. They told me I had to bring it in with a receipt. I did and when I got there he began to take it a part. He put it back together and said ""I don't see anything wrong, shifts fine"". I said well what about the 3 pieces that fell out of my brand new shifter. Another tech jumped in and said since I purchased it from an online bike shop and paid with paypal that SRAM would not take it back and that SRAM told them specifically that anything from paypal or online bike store they would not accept. I called SRAM and this is a bunch of crap. I will never be back. As to the cycling shirt I have from there store it will be used as toilet paper. I will tell all about my bad experiences with them. They just want to argue with you and think that there stuff does not stink. They are just plain rude and do not care about anyone except themselves. Off all the bad reviews I have seen about them and as slow as they always are with no one in the stores it is hard to believe that they will be in business much longer. Cycling is a smaller community and word travels fast. Customer service does not exist at this store, only rude and selfish employees that care only about themselves. Avoid this bike shop and all ralleys they attempt to sponsor which I think is a total of one, the Hot Rocks in Rockwall. more

Not a good experience 1/4/2011

I had disagreement at RC with one of the techs. I was leaving and taking my business elsewhere. Another tech stepped in and took care of the issue. I sent an email to the info@ address thanked the tech who helped me and reported the tech who did not. I concluded by saying when the time comes for a nicer bike I will shop elsewhere. I received a vile, insulting and degrading email from someone who Identified himself as the owner. He told me things such as I should bow to my knees and give praise to God for such a blessed life and move on down the road that your biggest instance of being""crapped on"" is that the staff of our local bike shop. Good gravy...get a grip dude! is another line. In response to me shopping elsewhere he said. the threat of purchasing your mythical new bike elsewhere is, quite frankly, a blessing to me. Actually, we thank you for your threat of purchasing your putative future new bike elsewhere... He added ""I have absolutely no desire to ride a bike with you."" which is probably a good thing for me. He then went on to basically say that his mission is to promote health and fitness and that I detracted from his mission with my irrational dilussions. All I did was complain about an employee. I posted this on a social media form for mountain bikers. Based on the number of people who have contacted me publicly and privately thanking me for posting it because they too where treated poorly, I'm surprised this review source isnt overrun with complaints. I removed the post on the forum because it turned in to fast moving storm of negativity towards this shop. Also the organization asked me to remove it because of a few complaints. I think one of their Local Bike Shop sponsors was very unhappy but thats just a guess. more
