If you're looking for something fun to do, that's also pretty good for your body, try the Rocknasium. A brand new climber, a took one of their classes a while back and had a great time. The staff is very friendly, and very knowledgeable. In no time at all, I was up scaling some walls and belaying my friends. more

A mind and body challenge 10/26/2005

The Rocknasium is the first climbing gym I've ever seen or heard, but since coming to Davis, I've found that there are lots of things here in Davis I don't find anywhere else. The first time I rock climbed I was freaked out of my mind. The idea that you're going up and only trusting your weight against another girl was not comforting. But I went up and had a great time. It really works my arms more than anything else, but due to the odd moves you twist around it to get to the next step, it becomes a total mind and body workout. more

This indoor climing gym is a fun place to spend a rainy Saturday. No experience needed, the staff will teach you all you need to know to scale the numerious indoor walls. Shoes and all equipment is available to rent. For those who are afraid of going all the way up, you can boulder in the cave like boulder area in the corner. Fun place for (older) childrens parties. more
