We have had aluminum wiring in our house since it was built. I called another company and without looking at the issue they were giving me high bids for the job. Dan from Rockhill Electrical Systems worked by the hour and only did what was needed. He did not try to sell us any other garbage. He did way more than he was required to do. He went above and beyond the call of duty. He was very good and made me feel very comfortable. He took the extra time to change the receptacles that were acting poorly and shorting out. He made sure everything was done correctly. more

Rockhill Electrical Systems was a great company to work with. My electricity went out due to a bad line, and they were able to respond within a few hours. They worked diligently in bad weather to create a temporary solution until they could track down the problem and repair it permanently. I was referred to Rockhill by another company that they work with. They had good communication, and I really appreciated their willingness to work through a weekend to get the job done for me. I called around to people who have done work for me in the past, but they all fell through on the day we needed the work done. I looked up Rockhill Electric in the Better Business Bureau, saw they had 5 stars, and gave them a call. They came over and gave me an estimate the very same evening. The quote they gave me was a little higher than another I had received, but the quality was well worth it. Rockhill Electric advises you on what will work or won't work, but ultimately they do what you want them to do. Rockhill Electric did good work, and I'd recommend them to anybody. One Saturday morning I was moving my office from my basement of my house to the attic. However, I noticed that the heat int he attic was not working and the circuit breaker kept popping. So, I searched for an electrician on the internet and I found Rockhill. I called Dan, he diagnosed the problem and determined that the work would me more intensive than what he could do that Saturday. From researching Rockhill Electric online and then meeting Dan in person, I got a general impression of his qualifications, and I scheduled him to come back and do the job. They ultimately put in the correct breaker and Dan sent his people to wire everything up properly. Rockhill Electric provided excellent customer service, and I intend to use them again soon. more

I used Rockhill to provide electric service to my detached garage. They worked on the job even when I was out of town in order to complete it before the cold weather arrived. They also made sure the inspector gave me a courtesy call before arriving at the house. I like that they took the time to explain what they had done and how to adjust my lighting, if needed. more

Over the 8 years that we have used Rockhill Electric, they have done projects for us that range anywhere from $500 to $50,000. They have been very responsive, timely, and do quality work. I can't say anything very bad about them. There might have been an instance where a bad representative showed up, and that is the only reason they got a 4 on service. That instance was due to one particular individual, otherwise they would get a strong 5 all the way around. Out of the 4 or 5 electrical companies I have come in contact with, I would say they are number 1. Their service is prompt and personal. It is almost like they take become a part of the organization. Colorado College has used Dan Rockhill for approximately 20 years. He pays attention to detail, he plans well, and he is very thorough. We have about 100 buildings with over 200 square feet of commercial and residential space, and Dan is especially excellent with commercial jobs, including higher voltage. I have not found a job he cannot handle. We have done exterior lighting, large transformer projects, and of course remodeling and maintenance work as well. It takes somebody special to do service work as well as underground and exterior work. I have not had a problem with him. Dan consistently exceeds my expectations. He works in some of the most sensitive areas of the campus. We had to service life safety systems in a historic building, and he did all of that really well. He is customer service-oriented. He does exactly what his customers need and he adds value, offers advice, and suggest improvements. He also works closely with the engineers. I would highly recommend him.
