Good Decent Racecourse 10/14/2005

Had an opportunity to tryout Rockford Speedway 1/4 mile racetrack. It is a very nice course that is well kept. The track is also prepped very well during staging with sticky compound for excellent launch. Parking is very plentiful and pricing is good. The stands is decent and all their facilities are clean and well maintained. The area is beautiful and wide open and traffic in that area is always clear. A great place to check out if you're into fast cars. more

Speedway...very "machesney park" experience 9/18/2005

Okay, its a race track. Very loud, very down home experience with carnival foods (yummmm, funnel cakes). However, if you're looking for a romantic evening out, this ain't it! Its fun, the kids will love it, there are fireworks...and SCHOOL BUS races - what more could you want? more

The Rockford Speedway is a great place to take your kids if they are into cars and excitement. During the summer they usually run two times a week. They have special nights as well where they do trailor races and other random car competitions. Sometimes it gets a little crowded and crazy. If you dont mind loud noise and you like to see car crashes this is the place for you. more
