Good food, friendly service, and a great selection of award winning locally brewed beers. Very tasty and a nice atmosphere. Pool tables and darts upstairs were nice as well.

Quick service and large portions 8/12/2008

Good place to stop in for an extended lunch while checkng out downtown.\r \r Feel free to share a meal as they are quite large. Be sure to try a beer from their own menu! Pros: Large portions for sharing, interesting beer menu Cons: Non really, the place is just kind of average - like a regular brew pub more

great beer 8/8/2007

I like the downtown location and this location. They will not seat you unless all of your party is present :( but other than that I have no complaints. The mac and cheese is pretty good. The fish tacos are good. All the portions are pretty large. But the beer is the main event. I have a soft spot for beweries. Pros: da beer Cons: having to wait for your whole party to show up before you can be seated more

Best spinach dip 7/10/2007

The food here is actually pretty good. I had pasta and I wasn't expecting it to be the greatest and it wasn't. But it was still pretty good. I'm assuming that the burgers and steak are much better since it is sort of their specialty. Like I said, the spinach artichoke dip is different from what you get at other restaurants, but in a good way. It's a little spicy and packed with a lot of flavor. Best beer in San Diego 5/16/2007

I had always heard about Rock Bottom but I thought it was just a club downtown. My friend took me to the one in La Jolla and I had a great time. I loved the beer, and the food was pretty good too. I would recommend Rock Bottom to anyone who wants a cool atmosphere, reasonable happy hour prices, and good service. more

Not so good burgers 11/21/2006

I've been here a number of times for work group lunches. While their staff has always been friendly, I've never been a huge fan of their food. Their beer selection is decent, for sure; but I wouldn't be apt to come here for dinner on my own. more
